Does anyone know if we can take kids snacks into the parks as well as our own water bottles? Will they check our bags for this stuff, or is it a big No -No?

As long as you don't carry a vending machine or too much stuff, they don't seem to care. Large coolers are also turned away.

We brought in a stoller (from home) and loaded the basket with water, cokes, gatorade and I had Lots of snacks and candy pick-me-ups for the kids. Had no problems and it saved a TON of money princess: princess:

Yup, you can bring snacks in. Don't bring them in a cooler, but if you throw a couple packages of crackers or cookies or whatever into your backpack it's a non issue.

they will check your bag, cooler what ever..husband just put a granola bar in his pockets so he wouldn't faint from hunger in the 3 hrs between brkfst and lunch ;) ..kept him happy so great by me!:)

with three children, I plan to have small snacks I carry in ourselves, because we all know kids can not go that long without saying "I'm starving!".

I carried around peanut butter sandwiches in my backpack. We brought our own peanut butter and just bought the slices of bread that the hotel and made sandwiches. Also brought balance bars and other snacks. We also filled 2 water bottles that I carried in my backpack too. It was heavy at the beginning of the day, but got lighter as the day went on.

Except of course when my wife kept refilling the water bottles.

Okay, if I bring in a backpack will they look in it and see snacks and waterbottles and tell us that we can't bring them in or will they just overlook them? Is it better to bring a backpack or fanny packs for everyone? Also, if we bring a backpack will we be able to go on all the rides with it?

They'll just over look them. You can go on rides with a backpack. We took one and there's usually a compartment for your things. Word of caution - wrap the straps around your legs on Space Mountain. My backpack and my camera almost got lots in "outer space." :)

I always carry a backpack because of DD (2) but it is also ALWAYS full of goodies. Little Debbie snacks, froot loops, pringles, etc. No one has ever said anything negative. One guy said that we shouldn't starve while we are there!! With 2 kids it is impossible and also very expensive to stop everytime they say they are hungry. Then she takes 2 bites and trashes it.

we brought in out backpack with snacks (chex mix, raisins, fruit snacks..) and water bottles with thise crystal light on the go packets. No one questioned us!

Yes you can take them into the park just as long as no liquor.
Oops...guess I better leave the bottle of tequila at home! :)

Seriously, we are taking snacks (granola bars, cookies, raisins, fruit snacks, etc) and water which has never been a problem. I don't think they would ever care about that. The only thing that might cause a problem is if it was actual food like bags of Taco Bell or whatever. They know snacks are just for an energy boost and most people will still buy a full meal.

BTW, disneyfreak74, my kids do the same thing. They moan and groan about how they are "starving" and then don't eat more than half their meal. Kids! :rotfl:

Last week, I saw lots of moms with little ones carrying-in soft-sided coolers. I wish I had done the same!

Yea, I always just through a few little crackers and a drink in my backpack and Im fine for the day.

Ihave never had a problem. I bought 4 Kool aid Coolers for each of my 3 boys anf some snacks to mucn on and they did not say a word!
