Ok so my question is.....(dum dum dimmm)
Our flights get into MCO pretty late on a saturday night like 11 or so can we cut expenses and stay at a cheap hotel at the airport and then take ME over the next morning? I hate to pay for a whole day at a Disney resort when we wont arrive till late. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you!!

Yes. Check the airport website; i.e., the Hyatt will help you take over your luggage for a fee.

If you read the info regarding ME, you are allowed a ride to Disney on your day of check-in, so it is pretty much a no-brainer.

I've done this before. The best option is to get a hotel with a free airport shuttle. They will pick you up, and bring you back the next day, usually free. We stayed at a Holidat Inn Express I think (it was a few years ago).

did this with the sheraton suites at the airport - they have a free shuttle - but if the kids are tired - we took a cab to get to the hotel more quickly - and then took the free shuttle back to mco

As long as you have a confirmation# for a disney resort, you can take ME from MCO. When you make the ME reservations, they will ask you for your Disney resort conf# and the airline and flight#. Just look up a flight on an airline that participates in the ME
* Airtran Airways
* Alaska Airlines
* American Airlines
* Delta
* Jetblue
* Southwest
* United
* US Airways

Add the flight that arrives on the day you want a ride to WDW to your reservation.
We have done this a few time and it works fine. When a family member on the resort reservation arrives a day or two after I arrive, they can take ME, too.

I made arrangements for ME for my mother-in-law and did not know her flight information. I did know the approximate time, and I was still able to book the ME for her. I think they use the flight info to know where to look for luggage - but if you don't have the flight info, you just collect your luggage and head to the ME counter - they will load your luggage there. So in your case, you would just bring your luggage to the ME counter. You'll probably have to tell them what time you plan on being there though. Give them a call and explain the situation - I've found them very helpful. Though as another person pointed out, they will not budge on letting you set it up for a day you do not have a Disney resort booked.

if it were me I would just pay to stay onsite for that 1st day. I don't think the difference in price is worth the hassle. you can get settled in late that night, get a good night sleep then off to the parks. vs getting up at the airport then getting to Disney that morning. that's just me though :)
