Can we sleep in our van?

It would only be one adult, 2 kids and a baby. The baby and I share a twin bed at home so we apparently like to sleep squished together. But we would do a trial run before we tried it at DW. And it looks like we're leaning towards a value resort anyhow.

I have been wanting to try this for a solo trip. I have a town & country mini-van and I can put all of the seats down and put an air mattress in the back with no problem. I am usually in parks all day anyway. I really want to stay at FW so I can go to the campfire sing along and enjoy some other activities there, like the Circle D Ranch. I may give this a try during a mild weather season.

Just so you know, you don't have to stay at the fort to enjoy the Campfire, Movie, etc...

That said, however, I love staying at the Fort and I am sure you would too. Going Solo would be EASY to stay in a Town and Country. We used to have one, and with the seats folded down, there is LOTS of room in the back of them.

I have stayed there once before in a cabin. But our trip was so busy we really didn't get to enjoy the Fort That is why I want to go back for a solo trip. That way I can hang out at the Fort whenever I want to!!

I hear ya! I'd like to spend more time at the Fort just relaxing and enjoying, and frankly, just being "Lazy". That is what a vacation is, after all isn't it?

The DW (and kids) want to see the parks and attractions and such and because the trips do get expensive (as we also travel from NE PA) she wants to maximize the value. Me???? I need a vacation from the vacation when we get back. I'd like to just go camping to go camping and be out in nature. I could just sit and relax at the campsite by a fire for days on end... well at least for a couple days on end, then of course we have to get back in life.

So while we do enjoy the fort, and have a day (or 2) at the fort for relaxing, our relaxing is even running around. (Take dd10 to pool or the campfire, or whatever... Always a schedule), it's just not the same. Maybe when we don't need to keep after the kids (the oldest is 18 so she is not an issue, but the youngest DW is not ready to let her go on her own yet), it will be more relaxing. At least for us (okay, maybe me!)

I don't see why not. A friend of mine sleeps in his Minivan (all rear seats out) for a couple of event we go to during the year. I have a tent for the back of my truck. Works great in the summer for small over night events. Only problem. I am so use to the trailer that I don't remember to bring the stuff I need to camp.

Here is a picture of my truck tent. My DD wants to camp in the truck the next time we go camping in the summer.
