Can we send out bags home via RAC if we aren't taking Magical Express?

We'll be in the world next week for a quick stay post family wedding. We'll have a rental car to get us back to the airport, but can we send our bags via RAC if we aren't taking Magical Express? If so do I need to prearrange this somehow? And can I still check some bags at the airport? We'd still have car seats and strollers to check once we drop the rental car. We are flying Airtan purchased through Southwest if that means anything.

When you check out, you can use RAC without using DME. They are actually two different services. You don't need to pre-arrange using RAC services, other than keep in mind that you have to drop off your checked bags at least three hours before your flight departs and you have to have already paid for you checked luggage fees. Also, RAC runs limited hours (5:00 am to 1:00 pm, I think). I don't know about the car seats and stroller question.

Yes RAC closes at 1:00 p.m

Be aware though. There have been reports from posters noting issues when trying to use RAC on SW/AT flights. Since the merger, there have been issues with flight checkin and RAC.
