Can we see MK fireworks from the FW beach?

Can we comfortably expect to do Dinner at FW, watch the outdoor movie, water parade and fireworks on the beach ALL on the same night?

We are staying offsite and usually plan one evening of our trip to go to FW to watch a movie and make smores. This year I'd like to do dinner, movie, water parade and fireworks but I'm thinking that all of these might overlap.

Can I do it all in one night? If so, can someone give me an estimate of the timetable for each of the events?

When can I find the movie schedule for August? That will determine which night we go to FW!

Thanks!

I thought the movie, sing-along, and parade viewing were just for those staying on WDW property. Am I mistaken?

If you are planning on going commando, you might want to ignore the packing list that is being discussed in another thread on this board. Otherwise hanging out back in the bushes may be your only option...
:lmao:

Sorry, couldn't resist... Beer anyone???

:rotfl2: According to that list "commando" is the only option as no u/w are even allowed! (A certain someone should be very glad that no trees will need to be damaged with clotheslines if this packing list is observed.) :rotfl:

It does say Resort guests.

Sorry .... I'm not trying to pool hop or figure out a way to take advantage of EMH, or take anything away from the guests who pay over $200/night to stay at FW. We just can't afford to stay on site.... I hope to be able to one day when we have enough money. :confused3

We spend a lot of money at Disney during our vacation and I don't think going to FW to eat at Trails End, buy some smores kits, watch the Disney outdoor movie, and walk to the Beach to watch the fireworks is something that only resort guest can enjoy. If that were the case, they would ask for my resort ID before we made our dinner reservation and when they took our cash to pay for our meal.

Sorry...I'm not trying to start a debate; I was just inquiring about being able to eat at FW, watch the movie and have time for the water parade and fireworks all on the same night...

I guess I could call the campground and ask them....

If you're already there to eat at Trail's End, it seems to me that sort of makes you a guest, even if it's not all night. You may be pushing it on the time schedule though. You would need to have a pretty early dinner and the movie time will surely overlap the Fireworks and water pageant times. We've only stayed off site once, but we've definitely come from other WDW resorts to enjoy Fort stuff.

P.S. We don't pay over $200 per night...at least not yet. :goodvibes

I believe that eating at Trail's End is permitted for non-resort guests. The movie and such are for resort guests only, but if you want to disregard the rules, there seems to be no one stopping you. But the cost for those "free" activities is paid for by those who do stay on-site.

As for not being able to afford it, my trip is costing our family of 8 $300 plus gas. That includes lodging, park tickets, and meals. It is more expensive for us to camp at Fort Wilderness than other campgrounds in the area. We are paying that extra to be able to go to the movie and such.

Just something to consider.

To add on to the OP question:

Can you hear music from specially ticketed events at the beach?

I just called FW and asked about the brewing debate. I said that I would like to attend the Chip & Dale Campfire Program and watch the fireworks on the beach, but I was not staying at FW or on Disney property. The woman responded that that was not a problem and that I could still enjoy both programs.

Whew! Now I'm off to church with a clear conscious!

The cabins are way over $200.00.

Can't believe I forgot the cabins! They are def way over $200.00! :thumbsup2

I just typed a gigantic post on this and clicked Preview Post instead of Submit Post! :lmao: Oh well! I thought this would be the case. I am strictly an on property girl myself, but if someone is going to all the effort to drive to the Fort, make ressies to eat dinner and pay for dinner.....a little trip over to the Meadows or the beach should be ok. IMO. Besides, Disney isn't going to turn anyone away who is willing to purchase the smores kits at their prices.

Thanks for the effort in clearing up this debate Katie!

I played hookie from church today, but my conscious is still clear...at least on this matter. :lmao:

Just remember, for every CM you ask the same question there seems to be a different answer. :confused3
