Can we safely fit in TSMM before Jedi Training Academy sign up?

On April 18 we are starting at DHS and plan to park-hop over to Epcot in the afternoon. We would like to save our FP+'s for Epcot later in the day. 4/18 is an EMH day at DHS. If we get there a good 45 minutes before EMH rope drop, can we ride TSMM once before going over to Jedi Training Academy sign-up, and still get a time in the morning or early afternoon? We will be signing up four kids. The Crowd Calendar for DHS is a 6 that day.

The one time my daughter did it we were at the back of the crowd for rope drop and by the time we got to the sign up area it was already a very long line winding around the corner. So I would think trying to squeeze a ride in before getting in line would definitely reduce your chances of late morning/early afternoon.

I would not chance it at all. If you're late to JTA, you miss out on JTA. If you do JTA first, you just get to TSMM 15 min later and have a little wait -- no big deal, you'll still get on.

Agree. Ds and I were there at rope drop and went there quickly in early May (weekday)and after waiting to sign up for a long time were able to but the cast member told me they only had room for two more after us and then everyone else was waiting list!

In October we went directly there, but were not near the rope (missed our bus). We barely got in. Only about 10-15 people after us got to sign up. I think even if you stop for coffee you will get shut out, for sure no rides first.

No way Jose. Especially because you are hopping to another park in the afternoon. You are limited as to what shows you can attend, and they start enrolling with the first show of the day. Because of that, you are still going to want to be there 45 minutes before EMH park hours. We were there at around 8:20/8:30 on an 9am park opening day, during a very slow period in January, and the first show time available to us was 2pm. That was going straight to JTA. Something to consider...you could always hop back to HS in the evening, having signed up for the latest show (8pm often), and ride TSM before the park closes.

The TSMM queue is a lot of fun...if you have never checked it out, kinda a bummer to blast through it with a FP+.

Ditto the above posters. You're a little better off since its EMH and your competition is only resort guests and not the whole world. However, since you're signing up 4 kids AND have to finish by early afternoon, you should definitely head straight to jedi.

I was only 3 families back from the tapstiles on a non EMH day on a crowd level 5 day in Oct. They let us in about 8:40, we walked, did not race, to signups and were the first people where the line had to start going out the door (the inside zig-zag had filled with the people who literally ran there). I had to sign up 2 kids; by the time we reached the front, the first 3 shows were filled - I think the next available show was 12 something. Luckily, we wanted 4ish anyway right before our dinner ADR. We were finished signing up about 9:15 and the CMs later that day said all shows had filled by 10am.

Where exactly are the sign-ups for JTA?

That can vary.
Look for signs as you enter the park.
Head towards the (now closed) "Sounds Dangerous" attraction building.
The sign-ups are usually at that building.
If not, there will be signs redirectiing you.

Just in case anyone is as blonde as I am - Robo stated it (and I had seen one of his maps before going) but the signups are *not* at the location of the Jei training show, which is right beside star tours. . . They are in the old Sounds Dangerous building. Luckily, you have to pass that if you are headed toward the jedi show area and I realized my mistaken intention without actually passing it by.

Almost time for a new hat-less map, Robo!
