Can we really...REALLY...be TEENAGERS again?? Answer on the START of our TR!!

It looks like your plans are beginning to take shape! I agree about MK at 8am because everytime we hit MK at 8am we get so much done in the first hour!

I had no idea about the phone booths! I think I may have to try it on my upcoming trip......:rolleyes1

No, I thought about those phone booths when Jonas and I were on our trip. Maybe we should do it.

So, we sort of have a plan:

Friday - Epcot
Saturday - MK at 8:00am (and I am hoping everyone else at WDW sleeps in :lmao:)
Saturday night 6:00pm Biergarten

Do you want me to keep that or move it to another night?

I've been thinking, Monday might be a good day to get to DHS early, do TSMMA, ToT, and RnRC and then we could go to AK. :headache: Just checked, Monday is early EMH at AK, maybe we could do it Sunday then?

And so glad you found this a nice break from work, I hated trying to plan when I know this week is so stressful for ya, but I know I will forget everything I wanted to say.:lmao: I'm starting to worry us 'ol ladies may need a tour guide so we don't forget what is in each park.:lmao:

Okay, let's back up to Saturday -- we do MK in the morning, come back & take much needed naps (normal ROE for our family trips, but we can see how we feel early afternoon) -- and then...what for the evening? Remember, I have a parkhopper, so we can go to anyplace that evening! Maybe do DHS that night?

Also, I'll probably have to be back around 2:30 - 3pm on Monday for the bus to the airport, so Monday is a morning-only thing.

... :guilty: It already feels so short!! I know, I'm happy JUST to be going! :)

Saturday night is when I have Biergarten booked, would you rather do another night?

I guess we should go park, by park and figure out what you want to ride. You know I will ride just about anything.

Do we still want to do Jelly Rolls? Would that be good on Saturday night?

Here I am getting all excited again, was just reading another TR and thought of something I don't think I have ever done, ride EE at night. I may have, but don't remember, have you?

OMGosh, did you folks realize -- I found this out from another thread on the DIS:

You can call the red phone booths in Epcot in England and Canada!!

This is hilarious!! People are always calling and talking to folks who dare to pick up the phone, and ask them about the weather, etc!! everyone who participates, loves it!

Okay...all of you probably knew this, right? I have the phone numbers...here is the thread, tho:

Melissa, have you called them, before?? I am tempted... :yay:

I answered the phone, it was so funny.:lmao: We also called, which was even funnier :rotfl2:

I can't believe your trip is so close. Bet you girls can't wait. You're going to have a GREAT time.:goodvibes

Okay, between this message & the one you just emailed me, maybe you should put this in a spreadsheet and send it to me! :thumbsup2

Here's the latest on what it would look like, according to Melissa:

Ok, so I brainstormed some more today, how about going to AK when we arrive, then over to Epcot. Saturday MK early, nap, maybe DTD, dinner at Epcot. DHS Sunday maybe and then Jelly Rolls and on over to MK. Monday can be a whatever we didn't do day.

My question is, if we do this, we miss the opportunity to ride EE in the dark (you next post) -- but I'm thinking the main reason it's tough to do that is because AK normally closes prior to sundown...right? :confused3 Riding EE at night isn't a big deal to me -- but it is my favorite coaster & I'll want to do it at least twice. :cool1:

Oh, man -- I can't wait to try to answer that phone!! That would be awesome.

Yes, we ARE going to have a great time, and it's hard for me to even believe it! :cheer2:

So, what does everyone think of this as a plan or ROE:

Vickie arrives about 1:30pm on Friday, so
Friday go to AK that closes at 6:00 for 2 rides on EE (Anything else you want to do there Vickie?)
Then to Epcot that is EMH until Midnight

Saturday MK at 8:00am
Epcot for dinner at Biergarten at 6:00pm

Sunday DHS
Jelly Rolls that night followed by MK to 3:00am

Monday, do whatever we feel like before Vickie has to get on the bus.

You know, I feel really bad about the fact that there isn't a lot I want to do at AK! :rolleyes1 While we're waiting on our FPs to come into play, we could do Primevil Whirl...but doing the safari is not high on my list, and the water ride certainly isn't. Since I've pretty much declared I didn't care to go to the shows, that knocks out just about everything else!

Okay, I didn't mention Dinosaur, because that ride is just TOO rough for me and my old self. Just because I want to pretend I'm a teenager doesn't mean my body can handle that like I am!

I like that we have MK in the morning, and then MK at night. The one thing that is kind of missing is Epcot during the day -- and Future World closes early at night, right? So is doing Epcot 3 times, too much? There's so much of that place, that 2 evenings doesn't seem to do it justice, but maybe we'll know by Monday if that's the right thing to do: Epcot in the morning.

I know we talked about doing Downtown Disney -- not sure where we could squeeze it in with this little time. I'm not sure what I'd want to do there, anyway -- shopping is fun, but most of the stuff we can find in the parks. Is there any reason you want to go there?

I knew there wasn't a lot you wanted to do at AK, that's why I thought we could get it out of the way. I think Primevil Whirl may be down. And I remembered you don't like Dinosaur, I only like it as a challenge with myself to stare down that last dinosaur instead of ducking.:lmao: Any paths you haven't done at AK?

I figured DHS it is only ToT, RnRC, and TSMM. Hmmm, haven't checked to see what nights Fantasmic is showing, that can be a factor. Anything else there you want to do? We can also try to do some stuff at DHS before heading to Jelly Rolls.

Hey Duck, what time does Jelly Rolls open, or what is a good time to get there to get a table.

Doesn't Future World stay open for the EMH? Epcot has always confused me with their opening schedule.:confused3

And I forgot to discuss DTD, you had mentioned shopping so I thought you might want to go there, but I sure won't cry about it if you don't. So it is truly all about the parks. Glad we determined this, don't want an Abilene Paradox occurring.:rotfl:

I have no idea if I've missed a path in those zoo-like walkways! It's not a must-do, but if we have some time, we could go see the tigers.

As far as I know, you have not done the animation studios art class! Maybe we could squeeze that in? Also, Jordan and I enjoy dubbing our voices into the cartoons -- we could do that and video-tape it!

I could definitely be wrong about EMH with Future World...

Just a quick update!! I got my ME information yesterday, and strangely, Robert's name (my DH) was on one of the luggage tags, and his name was in the ME book. I got a little concerned, because I hadn't put him on the reservation, and didn't put his name in when I asked for ME online.

So, this morning, on a hunch, I called Member Services and asked to find out if something switched with the names reservation when we got our wait-list wish granted for BLT...and sure enough, his name was there. (I haven't told him this, yet -- he's at work!)

And, most importantly, Melissa's name had dropped off!! :scared1:

Fortunately, I had all of Melissa's info at my fingertips and got her back on the ressie. So...word to the wise...when you switch reservations at the resorts, double-check the names!!

Melissa, you are good-to-go to check in at BLT before me...they will be waiting for you. :upsidedow

if you are not pickie with location anytime would be OK :rolleyes1 standing by the bar... waiting for some to move... etc.. but seating by the front.. so far the latest I have tried this and getting a seat somewhere decent is 8PM... if you go say hi to Scotty for me :) :cloud9:

Your plans sound really good! You will always have after the trip to sleep!! :goodvibes

You are SO right! That's why I am not going right back to work, afterwards -- I have no intent of getting sick like Melissa just did after her January trip!

On my drive into work this morning (yes, I'm at work -- bad Vickie!!), I realized that in the beginning, Melissa & I toyed with the idea of going to WDW THIS weekend -- the first weekend in Feb.

Looking at the blizzards, the flight delays, etc., I think I should thank God we didn't decide on this weekend! Melissa would have enjoyed a weekend at BLT by herself! :rotfl:

Then I got to thinking: what WILL the weather be like during the weekend of the 18th -- wait a minute -- that is just 2 weeks and one day away!! :cool1: Weather.com doesn't quite give a forecast out that far (who could believe it, anyway?), but they give the averages: high: 74, record: 86. Around 50 for the lows...that's pretty decent!

Then I realized -- hmmm...that Friday is a FULL MOON!! We'll need to be careful, our first night out... :littleangel:

So true for Vickie, me of course will have to come home and make sure the kiddo gets his homework done.:headache:

Thanks, thinking we will head over between 8 & 9 or so. Think I saw the piano playing doesn't start until 8.

Please don't tell Robert about it being a full moon, he will never let you come.;) To ease his mind, maybe we should give my keys to a CM and take a pic so he knows we aren't driving together.:lmao:

Vickie and I have little problems when we drive together. No accidents or anything, but just silly little things, such as a "No Left Turn" sign coming out of Sonic. Vickie "Oh everyone does it, go ahead." So I do it and just as I am getting across the street a cop comes over the overpass. Or the time we were on a one way street, in the far left lane and Vickie turned left on the red. I couldn't figure out at first why that felt wrong, to this day not sure if that is legal or not?:confused3 Same intersection, at 1am, I took off, only to look at my rearview mirror to realize all the cars beside me were still sitting there. For some reason I thought that light turned green and I just went. I know we are extremely lucky! So, Robert always jokes about us not driving together.

As far as the weather, I watch it like a hawk and it has really been bugging me that it is such nice weather right now. You know, the calm before the storm.:scared1: At least here in FL anyways.
