Can we really...REALLY...be TEENAGERS again?? Answer on the START of our TR!!

Not worried about getting pics of the parades, so don't mind skipping them for the rides. Feel the same way about the fireworks. I've gotten to the point that if I can't be on the Hub or down Main Street, I'm not interested in them.

Either way for me is fine when it comes to our dining. I'm not a breakfast eater, so having breakfast credits are sort of a waste. Plus, still stuffed from this last trip.:lmao:

So, after reading Vickie's latest responses, I'm thinking this is all about the rides. I see a little about shopping, but rides seem to be more important. Hmmm, should we make this a challenge to see if we can ride all rides, except for the Tea Cups, can't do those.[/COLOR]

...thinking about this: when we were teens, other than staring at the cute guys, what was it about? THE RIDES!! :cool1: Yes, I am all for screaming my bloody (excuse the foul language, those of you from the other side of the ocean) head off, after the work stress I've had!!! :hyper:

I'm sure, after the adrenaline-pumping excitement, I'll be ready for an imbibement of some kind (the spellchecker told me I should use the word "impalement", but I didn't have the same visual). I'm thinking we should probably start at the beginning, though -- kind of map this thing out, now that you have no other WDW-trip planned between now & then...I think... ;)

What time do YOU plan to get to...Bay Lake Tower...!...and check out our smallish room?

(I say "smallish," because I am prepared for this, after having always stayed in either a regular room, or a 1 bedroom villa. I have to keep myself from being shocked at the sight of "no room to maneuver." Although, I've heard that couples w/2 small children can manage in a BLT studio.)

:cloud9: You could get there early & enjoy the entire morning/early afternoon before I got there, if you wanted to. Don't even have to have the room ready!!

That is so exciting that you got BLT!!!!! I would be so excited if I was on DVC and saw they switched our reservation.

I love your ROE's. I think I may have to think of some for my brother and I.....

What time do you get in again? Jonas was asking me last night. I know I have sent the man 30 emails giving him the dates for this trip, and yet, had to send another yesterday. Only to have him tell me he got it, just didn't put it on the calendar. Hmmm, think I'll send a reminder email....ok, just sent another email to remind him to put the dates on the calendar. Any bets he comes back asking for the dates since I didn't put them in that email?:rotfl: Ok, must not laugh, it causes uncontrolled coughing. Laughter is suppose to be great medicine.:confused3

Back to hotel arrival. I had planned to get there same time as you. I remember our first trip to WDW and I was so disappointed my DMIL got to the resort before us and had already seen the rooms, so I always feel like we should arrive together. Guess I could go and take pics.

So, do we want to start at Epcot?

Just realized, I really need to update my ticker and Vickie, you need to update your signature!!!!:yay:

He said we were already having too much fun without him -- and we haven't even gone, yet!!

It's like a clown on fire --

little bit funny....

little bit sad.

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, and I need to borrow your ROE's idea as well. We are travelling in  17 DAYS! with my MIL, FIL, SIL and her triplets. Breathe in, breathe out! Be calm......:scared1:

Woo hoo! Girls only trip! Sounds like so much fun, we tried to do this 2 years ago for our 40th bdays but the hubbys enjoy WDW as much as we do, so we let them come along. :) No kids though! ;) Although they still hold it against us, remember that one time, when you went to Disney without us.

I am also 42 years young, married in '93, and my BFF is my Disney enabler! No band for us though, we were on the Pom-Dance squad!!!!! :cheer2:

Have a great time!!!!!

Oh, and I forgot to add, my daughter's name is Jordyn also!!!!

OMGosh, I was actin' like a fool when I saw that reservation change!!! :rotfl:

As for the ROEs, there are SO many aspects of WDW, that you have to decide what matters to you. Otherwise, someone will be wanting to stroll through the shops in a leisurely manner, while the companions are hopping on one foot then another, waiting to hurry to the next ride!

I hadn't even really thought about the characters -- those I think are usually important to small children, but Melissa and I might decide to get a couple of pictures with the Mouse? If that's important. :)

:woohoo: So excited for you!! See, with that kind of entourage you really are either along for the ride, or you are splitting up into sub-groups for other events. "Along for the ride" I don't mean to be a bad thing -- I LOVE to watch people have a great time at WDW, even if I am only a spectator. Just being there... :cloud9:

That is so exciting -- I've never been with 3 kids at once! :thumbsup2 What a fun time you will have.

Oh, feel free to disregard this, if you want, but I love to share this idea: with my child & when we bring along others, I always have brought little Disney gifts with us (from Walmart, Disney store, etc) and every morning, would put one out for them to wake up to -- makes a GREAT, magical start to the day! :wizard:

What time do you get in again?

Arrive in Orlando at 1:31pm.

I leave Orlando on Monday, 21 Feb at 6:30pm (because everyone wants to get ONE MORE DAY of WDW in before they leave!!), and arrive in San Antonio at:

11:48pm.

Okay -- :lmao: I can't say anything because I do this, too!!

Actually, I don't mind if you get there, before. It means that you won't get there after me, and then I don't worry about you! :goodvibes If the room isn't ready, though, that could be a bummer, just sitting around waiting on me. But, especially if the room isn't ready, I'll be ready to go to the park!!! I've got to burn 4 days by 3 nights...and get my $$ worth. ;)

So, do we want to start at Epcot?

Uh, YEAH!!! :thumbsup2

I KNOW!! I meant to do this last night...can't do it at work.

The only thing is, won't it reconfigure Jiminy's timeline to a 24 day timeline?

Twenty-four DAZE!!!

There will be 5 adults and 5 kids (including my 2) total. I will definately be the one 'along for the ride'. My hubby's family, though I care for them very much, are not in love with the Mouse like I am, crazies! :confused3 Even though I planned and booked everything, I am letting them do what they want and I am just along for the ride. Well, except for a couple of things. They are not planners and are major go with the flow people. My kids and I were just at WDW in September so I'm okay with it. But as soon as my Mickey Mail comes there will be a family meeting on how things work (buses and DDP stuff) and we'll have to go over our R.O.E.! :rolleyes1 We'll see how that goes.

That is EXACTLY what I keep saying!!! :thumbsup2

I just keep telling myself: if I can just get through this week...!!

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

the studio is not really that bad... if I have a roomie and we are at BLT Studio I know my roomie will appreciate it more since the lil kitchen is semi separated and will not be bothered with the dinging of the microwave at 5AM :thumbsup2

I think I have pics of the studio at my FB when we did a tour... have to tag Ms. Skinner :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We are staying at Pop. Not to thrilled about this, but we have 3 rooms, it's the most economical. I'll be at Disney so I'm cool with it. ;)

How about you?

Another piece of joy came in the mail, yesterday -- my Photopass card!!

:cool1:

I don't remember ever having it mailed to me, before, tho...I'll have to look into that. It came in a really cool envelope...I should post a pic... :)

I think they mailed me one for our September trip. See if there are any discount codes on the back, if it was like mine, it wasn't available for the CD.:sad2:

Wish those CD's were better priced.

So I was just trying to check out the schedule and see if we could come up with some sort of plan and just realized, MK opens at 8:00am Fri-Sun and none of those days are early EMH days, in other words, they expect it to be packed. :scared1:

I like your idea of getting to MK one day at opening to see what we can get done, what day should it be? Ok, the more I type, the more the little squirrels are running in my mind.:lmao: Maybe we should get up early Saturday and see what all we can get done, at least we don't have to deal with buses that morning.:goodvibes

Ok, I know Vickie is busy and don't want to bug her too much, I just have to jot this stuff down when I think about it, thoughts in my mind are here now, but may be gone....

Phooey, I forgot to look at the back of the card (if it peels away from the paper like I think it will).

What if -- what if they are trying something NEW by opening up the park at 0800 on Saturday (this early in the year), and people aren't used to it and the crowd is thin? :woohoo: And frankly -- my "get up & go" is directly reverse-proportional to my "stay up all night" that might be occurring at Epcot -- the quick walk is a great idea and we will be able to get a LOT in!! :cool1: Afterward, I suggest naps, to tie us over to the next round of "stay up all night." :thumbsup2

It's nice to think about these things in the middle of a work-day. (shhhh!) ;)

OMGosh, did you folks realize -- I found this out from another thread on the DIS:

You can call the red phone booths in Epcot in England and Canada!!

This is hilarious!! People are always calling and talking to folks who dare to pick up the phone, and ask them about the weather, etc!! everyone who participates, loves it!

Okay...all of you probably knew this, right? I have the phone numbers...here is the thread, tho:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2481724&page=11

Melissa, have you called them, before?? I am tempted... :yay:

No, I thought about those phone booths when Jonas and I were on our trip. Maybe we should do it.

So, we sort of have a plan:

Friday - Epcot
Saturday - MK at 8:00am (and I am hoping everyone else at WDW sleeps in :lmao:)
Saturday night 6:00pm Biergarten

Do you want me to keep that or move it to another night?

I've been thinking, Monday might be a good day to get to DHS early, do TSMMA, ToT, and RnRC and then we could go to AK. :headache: Just checked, Monday is early EMH at AK, maybe we could do it Sunday then?

And so glad you found this a nice break from work, I hated trying to plan when I know this week is so stressful for ya, but I know I will forget everything I wanted to say.:lmao: I'm starting to worry us 'ol ladies may need a tour guide so we don't forget what is in each park.:lmao:
