Can we PUH-LEAZE go to disney! A June 2015 PTR

Hey Disboards Family! I'm Ashley! I'm a 27 year old dislover from Cincinnati! I work at a large hospital as an Administrative Assistant. I have been to disney probably about 20 times. On March 20, 2015 I had Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Surgery to help aide in weight loss and get my life back in order- So I have to take that into consideration while planning this trip, at the time of the trip I will be THREE months post op!

Joining me on this trip is my 16 year old brother, Aaron! He is a Sophomore in High School, On the JV baseball team and a Brainiac. He is truly my best friend and my other half. Aaron has also been to Disney multiple times and is beyond excited for this trip to happen!


Side Note: Aaron isn't my actual "brother" He is my cousin, our moms are sisters. However, his parents pretty much helped raise me and we have been brother and sister from the beginning!


I will not only be doing a trip report, but a dining report also once we get back! So strap in folks, this PTR is hopefully to be one that won't dissapoint!

The When and Why:


So Aaron turned 16 in the fall, and I had been talking about wanting to take a Disney trip. Aaron, volunteered to go with me and the genius idea was born! Except for one small problem- the parentals said no way, jose! I even volunteered to not only fund the trip, but take our other little brother when he turns 16 in 2017. Still it was no dice- and we kind of let the idea fade into the background! I actually have a September 2015 free dining trip booked with my boyfriend- so I was still getting my disney trip planning fix in. However I still wanted to go with Aaron. Him and I have the same personality and the same touring style, and since he is getting older I was really looking forward to the one on one time with him. So I brought the idea back up to him- and being siblings and all- we schemed up a way to get them to say yes.


Unfortunately, on April 28, 2015 my sweet Aaron lost his grandfather and I lost my "honorary" grandfather to lung cancer. The entire family was absolutely devastated. Especially Aaron. Aaron and his papaw were the best of friends and we were/are worried how Aaron is dealing with this. I mentioned to the parentals that now is a great time to whisk him away to Disney and get him out of the monotony of everyday life. So low and behold- they FINALLY AGREED. So we are officially booked and counting down the days.

That is so awesome! I haven't met many other sleevers that are dis fans! Yay!

I am curious to read your trip report, especially with the dining plan if you do it this trip. It is my great debate for the 2016 trip. I only eat 1/2 of what is on my plate at anytime, so it seems excessive to order a bunch of food I know I cannot eat.
I am the PP that had the sleeve 5 years ago, I changed my name as I didn't realize it was showing my whole real name anyway....if you have any questions as you move forward in your progress please ask, I am happy to share my experiences.
