layering is the key!!!

last year when we went in december we had a VARIETY of weather. on thursday there was a monsoon (it was BAD...buckets of rain!), friday was 40 degrees, saturday was cold in the morning and evening but nice during the day and sunday was like 70 all day. very odd! don't let that rain scare you though....i think that was a freak occurrence!

have fun packing....i do the same thing!

I am crossing my fingers no rain and cool weather!!!! I just don't want hot, hot weather!! I am so hot natured, ugh!!! I can deal with 70 all day...that will be nice!!!!!!!!!!

I, too, start my packing about 2-3 weeks in advance. I put things in there that I don't normally use at home--swim trunks, extra socks, travel size stuff....

Well...I am excited about Disney for sure, and I am super excited about the Polar Express and Dollywood.
I am really really excited about seeing everyone!!

I had bought 2 polar express books on ebay for Hollie and Shelby so that Santa can autograph it for them. Well, my sister informed me today that she saw the book at target! Oh well..I really thought I wouldn't be able to find it! But, at least they both have the book now!
I will have tons of pictures!
I just love the Smoky Mountain area! Chad and I are planning a trip to Gatlinburg some time next year. We just love it there!

Woooo hoooo!! 1 week from today I will have ridden the Polar Express and trying to get miss priss to sleep so we can get up early and go to Dollywood!!

We have kind of a big weekend. I am going to help Chad's mom with her yard sale tomorrow and then Sunday we have our annual Christmas pictures! Except this year, my mom wanted to take a year off. She only wants pictures of Hollie and Shelby since she said they do the same pose and backgrounds every year!

hey, heather! i had to share this with you. i called yesterday to make michele's reservation for mason for the pirate league. she wanted me to verify two things: one, that she could be with him at all times (what you and i talked about yesterday) and, two, how long it would take. she didn't want to be standing there for 3 hours.

well, first of all, i call the number and i'm on hold for about 8 minutes. then when i get someone, i ask the CM who answered if the parent could be with the kid at all times. she goes, "um...well, there's a pirate adventure they take them back for and i'm not sure about that." i said, "is there any way we could find out because my client absolutely does not want to do it if she can't be with her son at all times."

so she transfers me to someone else to find out. the man who answers the phone has a thick accent and i can barely understand him. i ask him the same question. he goes, "are you talking about the pirate cruise?"

i said, "no, it's called the pirate's league and it's new at the magic kingdom." he goes, "hold on one second."

so then he puts me on hold and the voice on the automated message tells me that the wait time is now 12 minutes!!!

mind you, i had to use my cell phone because it's a 407 number and all of this is eating up my minutes.

so i hung up and called the travel agent line (which is a 1-800 number and i can use my land line FOR FREE). i knew they wouldn't be able to help me but i figured they could transfer me to someone that could and i don't mind being on hold as long as it's not eating up my cell minutes. of course the lady i got there had no clue what i was talking about but she finally got me to someone who did. sheesh!!!!

I always wanted hot pink luggage that had brown polka dots on it. I actually found a big rolling suitcase just like that on sale along with the large train case. There is this place called Razzle Dazzle! They have the cutest luggage!!! They usually have a 5 piece set for $200 bucks. The biggest one (the one I got) is usually like $100 by itself and the train case was $50. I got them both for $65!!!!

I actually got both books in the mail! So, now all I have to do is remember to pack them!

Now, I really wasn't a fan of the picture of Chad, Hollie and I....they put my right side towards the camera and I prefer pictures from my left!
