Hello all, I searched for this answer and couldn't find anything so thought maybe someone has attempted this before and can shed some insight on this particular scenario. My DD12, adult sister and I want to fp+ MSEP at 9:00 and then hightail it back to the Contemporary to watch Wishes at 10:00 from the observation deck. (This is for 2/9/16, our first night. We have 6:15 dinner reservations at CG and plan to walk to MK to ride a ride or two and watch the parade. It's a "bonus" night for us because our flight was rescheduled to an earlier time so we're just trying to squeeze everything we can out of our trip.) Is this do-able or will we be worn out by the time we get back to the observation deck and miss the whole show? I realize crowd-levels might slow us and we can't predict that 100% but has anyone done this successfully? Thanks in advance!!!

MSEP goes from Main Street to Frontierland and runs about 15 minutes so figure the parade will be done (for you) about 9:20-ish.

If you walk back to the Contemporary you should just about make it but you might not be able to find good standing spots at the observation deck depending on the crowd.

I think it's very doable. The FP + location is around the flag pole area in front on the train station on Main Street. Find a spot near one of the entrance/exit tunnels. The parade starts at the front of the park so you will be able to walk out the tunnel easily right after MSEP. I would follow the walking path from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary Resort. You should have plenty of time.

You won't see "Celebrate the Magic" which many consider to be a more original, exciting and entertaining show than the parade or the fireworks.

I think it's doable if you're at the flagpole area, but you'll miss the castle show, which is a highlight of the evening shows. But I've seen rumours that the parade FP area may move back to its original spot in the Hub. If this is the case when you visit, I don't think you'll have time.

If FP area moves away from the front of the park, I would not risk it. We barely made it from Liberty Square, where we watched MSEP, to our FP location at the front of the castle. Crowds were insane and finding a path to walk was a near impossible task.

Thanks everyone for your replies! Good to know we could probably pull it off. I totally forgot about "Celebrate the Magic". I know we don't want to miss that and I would have been totally bummed to have realized that that night! Maybe we'll do that Wishes fp+ after all. I didn't realize there was talk of moving the fp+ area. Robo, I had the question of whether or not to do the wishes fp+ last December (2014)and you came through with great advice and maps. You've come to my rescue again along with you other lovely folks. Many thanks!!

This is something I was worried about. It's a low crowd day, but I think we probably won't risk it.

While you could probably pull it off, the deck may be pretty full by the time you get there. It's pretty small and fills up quickly.
