Can we make it? 8:15 at Crystal Palace

We have an 8:15 breakfast at Crystal Palace on our first day. The night before, we'll be staying offsite, probably Downtown Disney. For the rest of the vacation, we'll be at the Polynesian. So do we have time to check in at the Poly (obviously not getting our room that early), get our park tix & dining plan stuff, and get to MK for an 8:15 ressie? And throw in a little time to trade our GAD voucher for fast passes, though I suppose that could be done after breakfast. Can we do it & be at the restaurant on time??

edited to add: We're driving, so there's no worries about waiting for transportation to the Poly. And we won't even deal with luggage until we return to the Poly later in the day to get our room.

You can certainly do it. You just have to make sure you leave your hotel at DTD by 5:30-6:00.

oh that's cutting it REAL close early check in at WDW resorts is 8am... Best thing to do is call Poly and find out. Maybe you can try to push back your CP meal even 30 min would be great for you. you would still need time to go from checkin to monorial then through the entrance gates of MK which is not a fast thing to do what with you looking at everything.....

Unforunately not. Your tickets are tied to your Poly ressie and you have to check in there to get your tickets. I believe you can checkin as early as 7AM, as that's right after the days ressies are downloaded to the computers. I suggest you call the Poly before you leave home to confirm that you can checkin (ie get your tickets, dining plan) after 7AM. If you can, get there around that time to finish off the paperwork and DO NOT do online check-in. That should give you enough time to drop off your bags with bell services, park the car and hop on the monorail to get to MK.

I've checked in at 7 a.m. at POR plenty of times. So unless Poly is different you should be able to check in before 8 a.m.

I don't think that is going to help you, so be careful.
If you are on the DDP it is a package plan. YOu must reserve a room at rack rate AND at least a one day park ticket. If your package is tied to your Poly reservation, you would have to book an additional package for the 1 night to get dining credits on that room key. You can't add a day at the beginning of the package you have.

You can check in as early as 7 AM. If you are at the Poly front desk at 7 you will have plenty of time to check in, get your KTTW card with your dining credits on them and make it to the CP for an 8:15 reservation.

You can get your tix early, but not your DDP credits. So really wouldn't help with your ADR at CP because you still need to check into the Poly to get the DDP credits on your KTTW card.

It does matter, you need to buy at least 1 day of WDW tickets to get the dining plan. So you'll be in effect double paying for tickets if you get them at POR.

Again, she can check in at PORfor a one night resort only stay , and get her tickets from her Poly stay which starts following day, and won't effect her ressie at all. Alas isn't helping her though cause of the early ressie she will still need to check in the Poly for her dining credits but CAN already have tix in hand.

True, but I still don't think this helps her issue, as she'll still have to go to the Poly to get her dining credits, so this is not a time saver IMO. I think it just makes for more time, as to get the tickets she'll have to travel to a park just to get them. I still think getting to the Poly is the only answer for everything, unless she HAS to go to a park the day before.

Ack! Sorry for all the confusion. For my CP ressie, we'd pay out-of-pocket. We already have enough other ADR's to use up our points with the dining plan. Sounds like we can do what we need, which is simply picking up park tix a day early. Thanks for all the input!

Oh, and I was talking about adding a day to the park tix just so we could go to MK or EP the day we arrive, just to walk around a bit & see a few things.
