I am so confused- if we have the theme park passes (one per day) can we still dine at a theme park on a different day or do we need the hopper to gain entrance. I am looking at the beach club and see how close we would be to the epcot and trying to work our dining in.

No. Unless you have hoppers, you can only gain access to one park per day.

No, you will need the park hopper. Otherwise you will not be able to enter the park without a ticket.

Once you enter a park with a non-hopper ticket, you will not be able to enter any other park with that ticket for the remainder of that day.

Since you mentioned a different day, it depends on which theme park you enter on which day.

For example, if you have a non-hopper ticket and you enter MK in the morning, for the rest of that day you cannot use your ticket to enter any park other than MK. So you can't spend the morning at MK, go back to BC in the afternoon and then have dinner at Epcot. You would either have to have a park hopper or use a separate one-day ticket to enter Epcot on the same day. If you were to return to a park on that day, it would have to be MK.

If you use your non-hopper to go to the MK on Tuesday, but you want to eat at Epcot on Wednesday, you can do that. You would be using a different day's ticket to enter Epcot. However, if you don't have a park hopper, Epcot is the only park you can enter on Wednesday, so you'd need to plan to spend the day there. If you decide you want to go to Studios in the morning on Wednesday and then eat dinner at Epcot - no go, you need a park hopper.

You would either have to have a park hopper or use a separate one-day ticket to enter Epcot on the same day.

And TDC Nala really means a SEPARATE ticket. You can't use another day from your multi-day non-hopping ticket to enter a 2nd park either.

A base ticket is one major (theme) park per day. You are allowed to re-enter the same park if you leave it on one day, but it can only be used at the one park.

Note that the ticket will state on it either "Not Valid For Park Hopping" or "One Theme Park Per Day". That should be a hint.

If you put the ticket in the turnstile of another park the display on the Guest side of the turnstile will be "ACCESS DENIED". The top line of the display on the Greeter side will give information about the ticket, and the second line of the display will say "CROSSOVER NOT PERMITTED". The turnstile will not unlock.

This is because Disney charges $5.00 per day over four days on a ticket, but charges $54 to allow hopping. It does not make economic sense for Disney to allow this.

If you actually have multiple tickets (more than one physical ticket per person) as opposed to multiple day tickets, you can use these tickets for multiple entries. But it makes absolutely no economic sense as a separate ticket costs a lot more than adding hopping to a ticket.

Or, as I recently told a Guest who was arguing with me about using a different day on the ticket:

The turnstile computer thinks today is Friday. The turnstile computer at the other park also thinks today is Friday. The two turnstile computers talk to each other. If you can convince this turnstile computer that today is not the same Friday as the other computer thinks, it will let you in.

As far as dining, when you make reservations for dining inside of a Park you are warned that you need to have valid Park Admission. A valid ticket would include a Park Hopper if you had been in a different Park that day. Also, if the Park is under any Stage of capacity close you cannot override a Stage Closing even with a written dining confirmation.

One thing the OP could do is this:

When we go in the spring, we will NOT have Park hoppers, but we will have the water fun option. So, on days we're going to TL or DQ (BB is closed), we're going to go to Epcot for dinner (and to walk around World Showcase in the evening). (this will cost 1 WP admission and 1 theme park day)

When we want to leave a theme park early (like AK which closes at 5:00), we go to one of the resorts for dinner.
