I know we already have a thread about the Olympics, but I think this deserves one of it's own, because the US Women's gymnastics team is getting TONS of press, but the men get nearly none at all, and they have pulled off a remarkable finish.
The US Men's Gymnastics team won the bronze medal last night, the first time the US has medaled in that discipline since 2008. They did it in a unique way, too, bringing in a pommel horse specialist who only competes in that event, and with their all-around star, Brody Malone, making a painful comeback from an injury that doctors initially said might mean he would never walk again, let alone manage competitive gymnastics.
Congratulations to Asher Hong, Paul Juda, Frederick Richard, Stephen Nedoroscik and Brody Malone. These guys really deserve a lot more attention than they have been given; they've got serious grit, and I'm so pleased that their efforts and strategy paid off for them.
