Can WDW e-mail confirmations yes or no?

Last week my Dad called WDW about them e-mailing our reservation this August. They told him because we live in Canada they can not e-mail it to us. My friend from Vancouver then tells me she once had her reservation e-mailed to her. So what is the answer here?

If you booked on-line through Disney they will email you your confirmation of booking you will then get confirmations airmailed to you closer to your trip date.
