Can Universal Bucks be purchased in advance?

I recently read about Universal Bucks - money that can be used in US/IOA only - can those bucks be purchased in advanced or are they only available at the gates in US. Thanks in advance.

They don't sell them anymore anywhere. The only way you can get them now is surveys in the park often offer the bucks for doing the survey and certain passes put $7 of Universal bucks on their passes.
