I hate goodbyes - they always leave a bad taste in my mouth. A bitter taste!!! I wish I had listened to Melissa and added at least 2 more days. "We should plan for 2 full weeks", Melissa said. Why didn't I listen to her!! There is always next year right!

David and I were up pretty early washing, packing and preparing to get out of this house. I got up and read over the clean up policy. We have to remove and wash most of the linen. We had to put all the trash away and sit it outside, wash the dishes, and basically leave the house clean. We did such a good job; the cleaning people should leave us a tip. The Hobbs were up, packed and out to a Buffet by 9am. I dropped off the Key at Villa Direct (which was closed), so I left the key in a drop box. We headed next to Disney to leave the Stroller (from the Stroller Swap). I had to drop it off at Old Key West. By the way I find out after I got home that I was suppose to leave the Stroller with someone else at Animal Kingdom Lodge. But it did work itself out okay. The person I was suppose to leave it with at Animal Kingdom Lodge was stroller sitting, and then would leave it with the person at Old Key West. Does that make sense? If it didn't don't worry it, the stroller was in the right hands. Does anyone know if we are getting another stroller? I have my $20.

By the way, OKW is really nice. David made a comment about us taking a rendezvous here. Can U believe? All that drama caused and he's talking about coming back here!!! As I leave Disney property I look around hard and try to "see" Disney just one last time. I noticed lots of trees broken and down. We needed gas (we were almost on "E"). I called the Moore’s (who were driving behind us) to see if they needed gas. They said "yes" but would wait till we got to the I-Drive area near Bargain World. Yes people we are going to Bargain World. Why? To buy souvenirs for family. I already did that, so this is a waste of time for us - but I go along. There were so many people waiting on Gas on Disney property we decided to wait too. Big, Big Mistake!!!

Thanks to Hurricane Charley, power was off at most gas stations so gas was out at 6+ gas stations we stopped at. No Gas No Ice!!! That's all we saw at these stations. We finally find a station (the BP at 4 & I-drive) that was out, but they were filling up and would be working in 20 minutes. So we wait. I was at like Pump 10 and the Moores were at Pump 12. After the 20 minutes we had to wait in line (another 20 minutes) to pay for our $18 gas. We were told that because gas was limited that we could only get up to $18 and only regular gas! You couldn't pay at the pump. David and I used a credit card, and the Moores paid Cash.

After standing in line for all that time we waited another 15 minutes to find out that only pumps 1-5 are working. I immediately run back to my car and move it on Pump 4 - behind someone. The line is now ridiculous. I when I mean ridiculous, I really mean it. There were cars around the station in the streets. This idiot in a Mini Van is trying to maneuver his way around the waiting and now moving cars. This very tall guy comes out (nice at first) and tells this guy that the line is back there and he needs to get back. Does he listen? Oh no!!! Finally it’s my turn and I realized my car was turned the wrong way. Another Problem!!! The attendant comes out and said, that anyone that paid with a credit card has to pay again, because they system went down - What!!! Since that was almost everybody, people are walking towards the building. I asked the guy in the Mini Van (the one who "jumped" line) if he could move back a little. He said he wouldn't because people wouldn't let him back in line and I should just move somewhere else!!! What!!! Where the heck is David? That very tall man I was telling you about - heard that!! He came from I don't know where and told him to move or he was going to rearrange his face. The Mini Van guy gets out his car!!! They are all up in each other faces and obscenities are flying everywhere and my DD just woke up!! All of this is going on behind our car!!! Where is David? And why is his phone in the car!!! I'm getting a little scared now and I'm wondering should I leave!!! I guess the wives of the men come out and push both of them away from each other. The pump across from me is almost available, so the Mini Van jumps over there. Guess what? The idiot is the wrong way too and he hasn't even paid. That's a 20-minute line in there so everyone is now laughing at him. The attendant comes out and takes over!!!

This was getting old and we've been here over an hour, so James lets us have half of the $18 cash he paid for and we pumped our $9 each and drove away. The intensity of this Gas station was unreal. I have read so many books, and seen movies over a period of time about the World coming "to an end" and us (United States) running out of things, but we were only out of Ice and Gas and this area is in disarray. I can't imagine if it was food or water!!! Imagine a "real" state of emergency!!!

It would be 1:35pm before we left BP (Amoco). Thank goodness we got there when we did because the lines are ridiculous. To avoid the traffic we took the US27 scenic route. The turnpikes cost was lifted due to the Hurricane.

The ride to Atlanta was almost incident free. When we were like 30 miles outside of Atlanta James had a blow out!!! Of course none of us saw him and kept on rolling. Tamika called so we pulled over and waited only a few minutes when James came around with the donut. James is a handy guy and didn't need assistance. At this point David was anxious to get to the hotel and we could only travel under 40 mph. To make matters worse, it began to rain really hard, which also gave him low visibility. We finally got to the Comfort Inn. David hadn't eaten all day, so we went to the IHOP across the street.

Day 12 – Drama and Incident free!!!

I spent this time reflecting on what I’d like to do different and what I want to do again. Although we discussed going to Disneyland or a cruise next year, I’d rather go back to world. We shall see!!! We all made it home safe. That’s what important, but I already miss the mouse!!!

Up next my reflections!!!
