We are going early June and we are thinking about getting APs. So if we get Orbitz tkts can these be upgraded to AP? If so, I want to clarify that we can upgrade theses on our last day correct?

Thanks!

There's no blanket answer. Usually they are, people here have reported doing it, so they probably can be. Some tickets say on the back that they're not upgradeable. This usually happens when they're deeply discounted by Disney. You'd have to contact Orbitz and ask about the terms of the tickets included in their offer.

As long as they are regular tickets and not special ones with limitations they can be upgraded.

Assuming they are upgradeable to APs you can wait until the last day, but you would not get any of the benefits (e.g. merchandise and dining discounts) that come with the AP. Also, the expiration date would be one year from the day you first used the original tickets and NOT the day you upgrade.

Thurs 4/09: We upgraded 4th-day-free Hoppers from Cheaptickets (owned by Orbitz) on our last day. Once you trade in the vouchers at the booth (or a DLR hotel front desk), the tickets you get are identical.

If you are buying Hoppers and not saying onsite, just use your Magic Morning at DL before upgrading. Then upgrade ASAP for the discount. I should have done it sooner, but never had a good time to hit the booth. My choice would be evening, as the booth lines were bad mid-day.

You might check Way.com also. Looks like same price (no Ebates though). But I have read Way.com are E-tickets and go straight to the gate. I would avoid the ticket booth routine (Cheaptickets/Orbitz/vouchers) without more savings.
