Hi all. We're now able to do an extra day in the parks. So will I be able to add another day onto the 2-day park hoppers I bought from Ticketmania or is upgrading allowed only if the tickets were bought directly from Disney? Thank you!

Thank you for the quick answer! Can I do this at the first park we go to and any idea what it would cost to upgrade from a 2-day park hopper to a 3-day? Thank you again.

The difference between a 2 day hopper and a 3 day hopper is about $56 for an adult ticket and about $44 for a child's ticket.

I don't know what kind of credit you'll receive for your current tickets, but I'd plan on at least those amounts.

I did this in July. Even though The Ticketmania tix cost less than through Disney, they are treated the same way. You just pay the difference between the cost of the days for whatever Disney lists their prices.
I hope this makes sense...

Thank you both. Can we do the exchange at the regular ticket window then?

I did it at the TTC/MK ticket window... I think you can do it at any ticket window.

So, just to clarify, you still get to keep the Ticketmania discount, right?

For example (these may not be real numbers)

WDW prices

3 day park hopper $219
2 day park hopper $164
difference $55

Ticketmania price

2 day park hopper $140

So you would only have to pay $55 to get the upgrade, not $79 ($219-$140)

The CM actually voids out your original tickets (and she even mentioned that we got a gret price on them! :cool1: ) Then she reissued new tickets and we paid the price difference as if we had originally paid Disney prices.

I don't have a price list handy, but for explanation's sake:
say I paid $200 for a Ticketmania ticket
that would have cost $225 through Disney.
I want to upgrade to a ticket with more days that costs $250.
I will pay $25 to upgrade my ticket.

I hope I'm making sense! :rotfl:

BTW- This does take a little time to do. I did it in the afternoon coming back to the parks from a break at the room. Pick a non-busy time when you have a few minutes, not at park opening!

How does it work if one wishes to apply a MYW ticket to an annual pass? We purchased 10-day, non expiring, MYW premium tickets earlier this month. We only used one theme park day so far.

When we return in April 2006, could we exchange these to annual passes and, if so, will our annual pass date start when we do it (in April) or will they be back-dated to the day we used our first visit off the MYW tickets?

What would be the credit towards annual passes for a MYW ticket with one day out of 10 used?

You cannot upgrade the tickets to an AP (that means apply the entire amount paid for the ticket) as that can only be done prior to using it or within 14 days of the first use of the MYW ticket. But you can have the dollar credit for the unused admissions applied towards the AP. The AP year would start the day you do the transaction.

As far as what you would get for credit, you'll have to get them scanned by Guest Relations to get the official value. It will generally be what you paid less value of the first day's admission that you used. And remember that with MYW tickets, the first day is the most expensive of all of them.

And so.......last question on this I promise....... I have 2-day park hoppers. Can I trade in/upgrade park HOPPERS for 4-day regular (non hopping) tickets? Thank you!

As long as the 2 day tickets are unused, and the 4 day costs more than the 2 day - you can get 4 day base tickets.

Hello everyone

The 2 and 3 day with the Pleasure Island or Disney Quest, can not be up graded. They are special tickets and are not upgradeable.

All of the other Magic Your Way Disney Ticket we sell here at Ticketmania are upgradable.

Thanks

Andrew
