Can this discount be compatible?

We will be attending our DD volleyball tourney in June and purchased 5 day PH plus passes for $226.00 each including tax! This was a savings of $483.00 So here is my dilemma.....the dining plan must be included in a room / park ticket package. Obviously I dont want to be charged $1613.00 for the same park passes. My room only thru AAA is $1288.00 at POR, when the tickets are added I am at $2901.00. With my discount tickets and AAA room only reservation I am paying $2418.00 but cannot get the dining plan!
Any suggestions

To get the dining plan you have to do at least 1 day passes per person to make a package. Have you figured out the cost to you with doing the room, 1day pass per person in the room and the dining plan? This is how a lot of annual passholders get the dining plan. The 1 day pass never expires so you could either use it at a later time or give it to someone else to use.

After reading further I have discovered that WDW has drastically changed the DP for 2008 Tips no longer included, Appetizers no longer included We ordinarily would not order App's due to the cost but with old DP it was a GREAT bonus Not so much anymore, we will dine on our own this time rather than give up the savings on the passes

Not unless you'd save that much on the dining plan. Plus you get to keep those passes for future trips/ gifts etc. With a family of 5 this may not be such a bad deal; check the details.
