I'm shocked  , this will be our first holiday trip in early December. We booked back in August and now thought of switching to AKL. When I called yesterday, I was told ALL resorts are booked for our week Dec. 6 - 12, except for a 2 bedroom at SSR. Can this be? Should I keep calling or just give up at this point?

Thanks a bunch for any information/suggestions ;)

You could keep calling but the resorts are full. Someone may cancel and you could get it. Have you tried looking on Travelocity or Expedia?

We've had the same problem. We are having a family reunion Dec 4-9th and tried to add my brother last week. He is just back from Iraq and didn't know if he would get leave to come with us. We could only find a room at the SSR for him, with everyone else at POR, it just wasn't practical. He will just be staying with another single family member at POR, but it was surprising!

This jives with what I learned yesterday when I tried to switch resorts for those exact dates .. December 6 to 12.

Pop Warner is there from Dec 3 to 8 and Mousefest is going on that week as well.

Also, since the first 2 weeks of December are normally considered slower....they MAY have rooms out of inventory for heavy cleaning, etc...to get them ready for Christmas week, which is REALLY completely booked. :)

We have gone at times when it was completely booked according to the site, and honestly, you wouldn't know it by the lines, the parks were not bad.

I agree! We've been trying to get POP on December 7th- SOOOO glad that we booked far out!! I'd be really bummed if we couldn't get our rooms at this point!!

I'm pretty sure the resorts are COMPLETELY booked. A look at the park hours would definitely indicate so.

In addition to looking out for a cancellation, perhaps consider a split stay. You may find more availability if you look at the first few days or the last few days of your trip.

Oh it's possible all right ----------- I've been calling CRO for weeks now trying to get a one-night add on (Dec 9) to my sister's one bedroom at SSR.....

I checked Travelocity, Hotels.com, etc, and they do have a one bedroom at SSR for that night, but for $591!!!!!! We're using the general public code of $286 per night (includes tax) for a 1BR.

Am very bummed out, am going to keep calling CRO every day for the next week, as we get closer to people's 5 day window to cancel.

All I need is one 1BR at SSR for one night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Thanks a bunch ;) I will keep calling and hopefully can switch from CBR to AKL. I've done the split stay before but don't want to for such a short stay traveling with two little ones, strollers, diaper bags, etc...... Hopefully one will become available :wizard: Good luck to those that are calling to switch as well pixiedust:

We also ran into this problem just today when we tried switching from CSR to GF for the week of Dec. 7-14. Hopefully the CSR won't dissapoint us and hopefully the parks won't be TOO crowded.
