Can These Autograph books be saved?

:confused3 I printed out 3 autograph books for my girls, the ones with the character surrounded by the corresponding color border frame. (I found them on this board and they are beautiful).

Problem: my mother cut them out at work with a paper cutter and she forgot to leave a margin - on any side. :headache:

Any suggestions on saving these pages by attaching them to another sheet of card stock or similar idea? I was kinda afraid that they wouldn't adhere very good??? Suggestions?

Or, am I just out the ink and paper to print all 150 pages gain??? Not to mention cutting them all out by hand this time? :sad1:

I wonder if you could "glue" the cut off cards onto maybe white or colored cardstock? I would prob cry to reprint them again (but then again my printer ink is so expensive). I know you have buy colored cardstock. Good Luck with however you choose!

You could always put them in a Disney photo album. They slip quite easily into the clear pockets. The cards can then simply be taken out for each character to sign. You could then have a photo of or with the character alongside each one to match!
If you can't get a Disney album, you can always decorate one to make it special for your trip!

Hope you work something out!:thumbsup2

I never leave a margin on my books. I just bind right through the side.

But like mentioned above, you could just slide the pages in a photobook. And a lot of people just carry the cards around and then put them in a photo album later.

I agree. I think if you just lose the border on the left side where you will bind it, that won't be a big deal. Poor mom :sad2: We always mean well, don't we?

I wouldn't redo them. In the end, in 5, 10, or 20 years, never mind 1 year, you'll look back and it will be trivial.

Sorry, I'm not trying to trivialize it, because I'm a perfectionist, and it would bug me. But....:thumbsup2....in my old age, and only a hair of wisdom, :lmao: you can look back and wish it was different, but it will just be a minor thought.

Enjoy the trip, your kids won't think anything about it, the characters will still think they are adorable, and you'll have a great time.

One more option: I would not waste the time and expense of putting a whole sheet of carstock behind them. If you really need to make it so the binding doesn't cover anything, glue a tab of paper behind the left side where you will bind it. Scrapbooking glue (not tape) is really strong, and won't come off easily. Don't use regular glue, use scrapbooking glue.

Good Luck!:cheer2:

BTW... I love Pampered Chef! Is that what your name means? I used to be a consultant!

I bought a small photo album at Michales. It has blank white sheets inside.. I glued my autograph pages inside the book. It has cute tie on the side. I think it's 4x6... I put some really cute Tink stuff on the front. It turned out really cute. It's my DD first autograph book, so I only did about 25 pages..

That's a good idea!:thumbsup2

I create our own using photo albums from walmart that are $1. They are usually 32ish page. I take and pull out the insert in the front and back and decorate it w/ Disney themed paper and the kids' names. Then I put the pages in there. If we have more than that pages I put characters together in the same pages (like Anastasia and Drezella w/ maybe their mom, Belle and Beast, etc). Usually though I only print the ones that my kids want to see and we have enough room. I wish I could find my picture of my kids'

Those are really cute LWATSON and LITTLEMISSMAGIC!

Well, I took the advice of some and went ahead and had Staples bind one of them just as is--4x6 to see how it would turn out. I made the covers a little bigger but it turned out really cute I think. Now I just need to finish the other too and have them bound too. I'll try and take a picture of it and upload it.

I was holding my breath when I went in to the print center. :rolleyes1 I was afraid they would tell me that they couldn't do it since it was Disney but they didn't bat an eye. In fact the girl thought it was really cute and asked me how I did it. I just told her the truth. I told her I had 2 more to bring her and she told me that she'd see me then.

Thank you all for your advice!

I am glad it worked out for you! How much of the edge did the binder cover? Did it cut off some of the characters on that side? I am asking because I think that is what is going to happen with mine. Please let me know, and a pic would be great!
