Can the addition of no expiration feature to MYW passes only be done at the parks?

Well, I'll take a stab at answering your question.

From what I've heard, it is not possible to add non-expiration at the Disney store. When you purchase the tix, they inform you to add non-expiry at the parks or resort upon your arrival.

You can, therefore, add the option at WDW parks and resorts. You can add at any time during your stay, as long as you are within the 14 day window bedore they automatically expire.

The only "catch" is that if you add the non-expiry option, you will be charged for the origional number of days on your ticket, not the remaining days. i.e., if you buy a 10 dat MYW ticket, and after you use seven days, you decide to make the last three days non-expiring, you will have to pay the $$$ for the ten day non-expiry option.

Hope I explained this alright! :flower:

MomofKatie is correct - the no expire option cannot be done at The Disney Store - only thru WDW directly.

Thank you both for your answers :) I love Disney but this having to pay for tickets to not expire really sucks (pardon my french).

We bought the 7 day ticket with 5 water park days, but decided against buying the non expiry option. Well due to illness we only made it to three parks, so had to add it before coming home and did it at Downtown Disney at the little guest services office.

I feel your pain.

But, OTOH, folks who don't need non-expiring tix are excited that they don't have to pay for them anymore... that would be our case. In the past, the PH and PHP were never a good fit for us, because we go to WDW so infrequently- we never know if or when we are going to go again. We never wanted to spend the extra $$ for more days than we needed on that particular trip. So now, we don't have to, and we spend less!

Ironically, now we have started to go more often, and I am seriously contemplating paying the extra $$$ for 10 day hoppers with plusses, non expiring option for our upcoming seven day trip!
