Can SW credit be used for rental cars?

If we have a credit with Southwest, can it be used for rental cars booked throught the SW website?

I'm pretty sure you cannot do that. Just flights.

I don't think it can be used to rent a car. But if you put in you Rapid Rewards number on a car rental with a partner rental agence (and don't mind paying .50 a day) you can get a RR credit. I am all about getting those credits
