Can someone update today if Western Way is open?

Supposedly April 4th was the day for it to open, so if anyone is down there can you update us fellow Dis'ers? Thanks in advance, ScottNBEcky

it is the new road that enters you into WDW from the Western part of the resort, by-passing I-4.

Yes it is. I drove by it today. I was tempted to come home that way but it was not rush hour so I-4 was just fine.

Oh - interesting. If I were coming down 4 from 95...how would I enter through this elusive Western Way? I know the orlando area really well - so do tell!

FL. Turnpike west to 429 South. You would actually be going out of your way. By the time you get to the turnpike exit you will be past most of the downtown traffic.

THIS IS MAINLY FOR PEOPLE COMING DOWN I-75 TO THE TURNPIKE. EXIT 267A ON THE TURNPIKE THEN SOUTH ON SR 429 INSTEAD OF GOING ON TO I-4 AND GETTING OFF TO ENTER WDW ON THE EAST SIDE. DO YOUR PLAN OF I-95 TO I-4 TO WDW.

Thanks to all. As you can see by my avatar we leave tomorrow for WDW, so I am so glad you guys responded. I am hoping this saves us about 15 minutes maybe, instead of coming in from I-75 to turnpike, to I-4.
