I've cruised through this forum & found lots of cute designs! Ya'll are AMAZING!!! When you request a design you save it to your computer & print it out onto iron on transfer paper then iron it onto your shirt right? I wanted to make shirts for my kiddos for our first trip to disney this month & have found tons of cute designs. I just wanted to make sure I was thinking right on how to do this before I jumped in. Is there a certain kind of transfers that work better than others?

Thanks for your help!

I want to know too!

and is there an easy way to make a mirror image so you can iron it on?

Only the light transfers need to have the image reversed and bear in mind that anything in the DISign that is white will end up the shirt color...fine if you are using a white shirt but for any other color, use the the dark transfers. In fact I used dark transfers for all my shirts whether they were white or another color and they came out great.

Amy has the best transfers! I'm sure there is additional information in the sticky "Meet the DISigners" and the How-to sticky that will answer all your questions.

I am unsure as well. I went to walmart's website and found Epson transfer paper but the reviews mentioned that it cracked on first wash.. from several reviews.

Is there a particular brand that I can get from a craft supply or a office max or some place like that?

and the light that is just for white because it is see through? :confused3

There is a sticky at the top of the forum for "How to Ask for DISigns, Tips, FAQ's"etc... There is a great thread in there on making shirts. If you don't have time to order Amy's transfers, I have had good luck with Avery Dark Transfers. Good luck!

ok so i read that thread.. Got a lot of questions answered.. but one question i do have.

with the dark.. you dont reverse .. does that mean you print right on what is to be the outside of your t-shirt.. how does the ink not wash off?

I will have to go and look back to see if there is a link for amy's transfers... sorry amy I am not sure who you are at this point.. :thumbsup2
