We will be at WDW celebrating a birthday and I wanted to book a Wishes Cruise. There was one available for the night I wanted and I went ahead and booked it. Can anyone tell me about the view? It almost seems that you wouldn't be able to see as well as you would inside the park. I can see that the Illuminations Cruise would be great, but what about Wishes? Is the cruise worth it? It isn't cheap - $275 for the "celebration" cruise with balloons, birthday banner and Wishes music piped in. I tried a search for "wishes cruise" and kept getting the message "server down". Thanks so much

i went on one of these for the night of my wedding last november. we had a great time. depending on the time of year, you might need a jumper, as it was cold at that time of noght when we went.
the boats park on the water infront of the park, so you see the castle straight on. apparently this is one of the best ways to see the fireworks, as the boats line up in the line of sight that the fireworks were designed to be seen in (hope this makes sense!)
it was very windy the night that we went so the boats had to keep repositioning, and the fireworks were blowing off to one side. but it was a great way to end our day, and i recommend it to anyone! (just keep fingers crossed that the weather's good)

Thanks Karentan! Hopefully at the end of March the weather won't be too bad - it does sound worth it then!!

We did it as part of the Grand Gatherings. The view is far away, but I enjoyed it. It was nice to see the show from a different perspective than being in the parks.

We did the Wishes cruise this past August, and I thought it was the most amazing view of the fireworks.

It was a chance to see the show 'head on', centered on the Castle while clearly hearing the soundtrack the show is choreographed to.

It brought back memories of seeing the opening to the show Wonderful World of Disney I watched as a kid.

Its a memory I'll never forget.

We just did the Wishes Cruise on 2/4 - first full day of our vacation! It was DEFINITELY worth it - we enjoyed it very much!
