Can someone please explain what Target Cartwheel is and how to use it?

Yes, you can combine them all! Go to the cartwheel site, select the coupons that you want, then print them out. They print out in list form with a barcode on the top. The cashier just scans it once for all items. I believe you have to sign in through Facebook, and the more friends you have that use it, the more coupons you can get at a time.

I just select the discounts I want to use on my phone app. No need to print anything, just have the cashier scan my phone.

You can also use your smart phone or tablet to get the savings as well as print out your list. When you log on you can pull up the scan code on the phone or tablet. You pick the items you would like to get the discount. You can also change the list of discounts as you need the items. I sometimes pull up the cartwheel on my smart phone and change my list around right there in the store. Stack cartwheel with target and manufacture coupons and save a bunch. :thumbsup2

I use my iPhone to browse the available items and select them and it has a barcode in the app for the cashier to scan. I stack manufacturer coupons, Target coupons, Target sales plus my Target debit savings and I think I really do well with the things I get.

I agree, this is overwhelming. I used cartwheel for the first time today. I had "loaded" coupons before leaving home. I did run into a problem at the register as my phone has issues getting service in the store. But in the end, it all worked out. I am now liking stacking the coupons. Today I used manufact coupons, cartwheel, I bought items that gave me a $5 gift card, I used my 5% pharmacy rewards, and paid with my Target debit card. And let's not forget, I brought my own bags too.

I used it today for the first time as well. I was there to fill a prescription and stock up on Disney gift cards with my pharmacy rewards...decided to buy my son a winter coat on a whim. I checked cartwheel and they had 20% off kids outerwear! With the 20% off, my pharmacy rewards and the red card, got a great coat for $27! Will definitely use it again.

Maybe a silly question - I downloaded Cartwheel but haven't used it yet. Does it only work in stores? Can I get a coupon code from there if I order something on line?

I've been debating ordering xmas presents online since it's easier to hide plain cardboard boxes, but I'd rather get the discounts in the store (if what I'm looking for even has discounts on cartwheel).

No you can't use it online (yet, I'm hoping that changes!).

In addition to what everyone else said you also earn more coupon "spots" as you save more. I've saved over $75 and have 21 coupon spots now. I basically run through my cart right before check out and search everything to see if there's a coupon. I save $3-6 average each trip. I put all my couponed/cartwheeled/5% money in our disney fund so I use it as much as possible!

For Android users, you can place a shortcut of the Cartwheel barcode on any of your home screens, so it's always there without having to re-enter the app.

Don't forget -- you can also combine your coupons received via text message with Cartwheel/Store/Manufacturers coupons...

Can I use this on my iPad? I don't have a smartphone, but can use my iPad w/wifi in store.

Yes - you can use in on your iPad. Just download the free app and you are good to go :thumbsup2

Cartwheel is awesome! Yesterday I used target printed coupons, cartwheel, manufacturer coupons and earned two $5 gift cards. Oh and my 5% off for red card!!! Love it!

If you have to login through Facebook, does it post things to your page? I don't want to annoy my friends with status updates like, "Poohfriend just saved $1 on toilet paper using Target Cartwheel!" :rotfl2:

It can post to your facebook but when you log in there is an option to opt out of that. Also if you add personal items to your cartwheel those items aren't visible to other people.

You can set it not to post to your Facebook page, but I believe your purchases still get posted on the "Cartwheel Activity" section of the app. I know for sure that I can see what my friends have purchased there when I have not seen that info on FB.

And I have absolutely seen toilet paper purchases posted on Cartwheel Activity. So ALL your FB friends won't know you've bought some, but the ones that use the app will. (I find that whole aspect bizarre, frankly. Why do I need to know that my friends have purchased oatmeal or dog food or a new scarf? It's a little too Big Brother for me, but I use it anyway.)

Question: When my app says a coupon has "1 day left" does that mean it expires today or tomorrow? Thanks!
