Can someone please explain tux rental options for men and boys?

We will be doing our first 7 night cruise so are unfamiliar with formal night. I thought it might be fun for DH and DS8 to wear tuxes since I don't know when they'd ever have that opportunity again.

What are the options for either rental or inexpensive purchase (if there is such a thing, LOL). TIA!!

When you get your cruise documents, there will be a brochure in there for tux rental. I believe it is about $85 to rent. Same price for men and boys. I've heard of people finding great deals on tuxes through e-bay. I'm sure you will get many posts regarding that option. Enjoy your cruise!

Hi Linda! Disney goes through the company at www.cruiselineformal.com. You can get a pretty good idea of prices/packages there. We rented them for my husband and 10 year old son and were very pleased. I took them to a local tux shop for complimentary measurements and then faxed down the order when I got my brochure in my cruise documents. I realize you can probably find a deal on eBay, and we did buy cute Mickey vests there, but I liked the idea of not having to haul two extra suits and shoes on the plane. Hope this helps.

Rent the tuxes-well worth the pixs in the years to come. My sons age 10 and 16 at the time were so fun to watch as they posed for photos and the faimly photo ops are well worth the time and money.

We were able to get a steal on a tux for DH- $36 including shipping! You just have to keep watching. We go the tux this week and it is a good basic black tuxedo. They have tons of boys tuxes on there for about $35. I plan on getting them for my boys too.

I rented from Cruise Line Formal (see above response for link). It was completely painless. I went to a local tux store to get measured, and then booked the tux online. It was delivered to our stateroom and everything fit perfectly.

They maintain a small inventory onboard so if you find something doesn't fit you have a chance that it can be corrected.
