I was reading a post about the finger-scanning machines at the parks, and wonfering how this works. I feel like it won't be any big deal for DH and I, but was a little concerned about getting my "wiggly" 3 y.o. DD (HER: :yay: ) to get her finger just right for the "scan".

Thank you so much for your help.

Children don't do the finger scan. Only people with adult tickets (which for Disney isn't exactly adult, but is over 9).

Also, the new scanners don't require the fingers to be placed in a specific position like the old scanners did. Now it's a flat area with small finger-shaped area that you place your finger into.

That is correct. Only adult ticket holders do finger scan. We took 5 year old dgd last Sept and she was not required to do finger scan

As PP's have said, we too did not have our kids asked to do the finger scan. Only when they got adult tickets were they required to do the scan. :)
