My Dh have been inspired by the show the Biggest Loser. We have both lost 10 to 15 pounds by eating healthier and brisk walking and jogging.

We try to watch our fat grams and caloires. I was wondering what a guideline would be for amount of calories and fat grams..sugar grams etc. What is the basic plan for the Biggest Loser participants?

If someone could lead me in the right direction. I have done a search and cannot seem to find the right area for assistance.

We would still like to lose another 10 to 20 pounds.

I bought one of the biggest loser books and it said that the contestents take their current weight and multiply it by 7 to get their calories needed. If you start off at 150 or less, it said not to go below 1,050 calories a day which makes sense. If I'm 135 and am trying to drop 15 lbs or so, 135 x 7 = 945 which is really low. Heck, 1050 is really low too considering that according to WW I can have around 1,200 calories.

Thanks for the response.. at 165 then I should be taking in approx. 1155 calories a day.

Anymore tips?

I don't know about the Biggest Loser guidelines, but I know Sparkpeople.com has guidelines for all your fat and sugar and carb and every nutrient you can think of intake. It will track everything you enter in. The automatic guidelines aren't perfect - for example, I do South Beach so I eat less than the recommended carbs. But it's a good tool for seeing how well you're doing.
