Can someone from Scotland help me track down an old friend of mine??

I am going to make a long story short. I was friends with this girl for about 10 years, she was originally from Dundee, then moved to Toronto. I went to visit her in Scotland when she still lived there and I am pretty sure her mom and dad still live there. Could be a long shot that they are still living in the same location but it is worth a shot. I remember the phone number and address, and her parents' first names (not the last name though, go figure?? ). Do they have reverse directories there? If I were to punch in the phone number and address would it give me the name of who is at that address/phone number? Would someone be willing to help me on this? I could PM the information. Any assistance would be wonderful!!

I would of suggested 192.com but it looks like you need to know their surname, are you sure you cannot recall her surname, is it on an old letter or address book?

You could check to see if their house has sold since May 2000, when did you last have contact?

Yes, I can remember HER surname, BUT her surname was different from her mom and stepdad. Which is where my problem lies!!

Ah not much help then How about putting her name into 192 and Dundee if you think she returned to that area.

Yes, I did try to Google the name, and address and nothing came up for either. I just checked the house to see if it had been sold, again nothing came up, and I tried that 192 thing with her name and the address I had and nothing came up.

The only thing left is if someone lives in the area of your friends parents and can visit the local town hall to view the Electoral Roll.

Okay, I was fiddling around with that 192.com, and I think I might have gotten the parent's last name. The first time I put in her name and last known address and nothing came up. Then I did it again without a name but with the address and postal code. It didn't give me all the info I need but it did give me the first and last name of occupants, and it rung a bell. I am pretty sure that is them!! So now I just have to call and see if it is them I think. Okay, it is 10:11 here right now, what time would it be there?

Okay, oops I realized that I am in Canada on Mountain standard time, I think they are 7 hours ahead?

Thank you for your help everyone. Okay, I called the old number I had and it is no longer in service. So I have the last name to go on now, woohoo!! So I have tracked down 6 numbers with that last name in the area. I have called 3 of them, the first one was not home, the next 2 were not the correct number. So I am going to keep plugging away at this!! But at least I have something to go on now!! Thank you all very much!!

Oh sorry to hear the number is no longer available but with the added info hopefully it wont take too long to track your friend down. Have you tried putting your friends name in www.friendsreunited.co.uk to see if she has listed any recent information about herself?
