Can someone describe the taste of Amaretto to me? I'm thinking of buying it.

If you go to a large enough liquor store, there should be miniatures of just about every liquer. Actually kind of makes a nice gift to give an assortment, but it's also a great way to try the flavors without actually investing in the larger bottle.

It's a sweet almond flavor. It is to almond flavor as Grand Marnier is to orange flavor.

If you like sweet liqueur and almond flavor, you'll like it.

It's very good in coffee, especially cappuccino. If you pour it over rocks in a short glass and top it with seltzer, it tastes similar to cream soda. It's also nice in orange juice.

It's good in Sprite and Diet Coke too. Who would'a thunk?

It's a yummy liquor. Just buy it.

sweet, almondy and smooth. I hardly drink at all, but I love to sip a small glass of amaretto in the evening after dinner. It is the only liquor I drink straight. I may have to do that tonight now that you have me thinking about it

Oh, so many choices...Amaretto sours, Amaretto Stinger, and Amaretto with Baileys in coffee!!!!!

Amaretto Stinger
1 1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
3/4 oz white creme de menthe

Shake ingredients well with cracked ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
