Have never been to the Epcot Food and Wine festival... is there a booth to get cheese soup (like Le Cellier serves) in Canada and can DDP snack credits be used for it? I really want to try this soup, but we don't have any time left in our schedule to go to Le Cellier and probably couldn't get ressies this late anyhow. We go in early October. Thanks.

There was a booth with the soup last year.

Don't know about the credits though.

They had the cheese soup booth two years ago but I don't think you can use snack credits for F&W.

Somewhere I read that some booths or vendors took DDP snack credits and poeple were 'eating' their way through the countries. Has no one done this?

Got cheese soup last fall with a snack credit. It was YUMMM!

It is my understanding that you can use your snack credits at the F&W for anything upto $4 in price.

It seems like 4.00 is the magic number. We leave on the 30 and I just may have to use up the credits there.

Hi everyone!

I posted this information on August 31st in another thread, which by now is buried under a mountain of other threads....

I called Disney Dining this morning about my original post.

After wading through all those marketing prompts, I finally got to speak with a CM...who seemed to know her stuff.

When asked, the CM read an internal notice to Disney Dining CMs, dated August 28th. The notice stated during Food and Wine the booths around EPCOT will redeem "one snack credit for one food sample." There was no mention of a dollar amount in the notice, even when I asked her to double check. However, the CM was correct in providing the caveat to check with each booth and to obtain a festival map, upon entering the park, for further details.

...and just when you thought there won't be enough food on the Plan.... <grin>

Great I really wanted to try the soup and the shrimp now I can do both if they take the credits at the booth.

I will miss being there for food and wine this year, but alas, we decided to do FREE DINING instead!!!!

Leaving in 3!!!! Days!!!!

Last year the menu signs at F&W had the icon for a snack credit. Some booths had more expensive items that you couldn't use a snack credit for.

we are trying to get the best of both worlds...checking in for last days of free dining and first days of F&W. I'm so excited!!! :yay:

we are checking in on the 28th of September (so our whole stay falls under free dining). The Food and Wine festival begins a couple of days after we check in...

:confused3 We're doing free dining and the F&W. You don't have to give up one for the other?

Well we did because of other timing issues. And we decided to come for hubby's birthday. Ordinarily we would not come when it is so HOT
