Can not get over how many of you get pins!!!!

:grouphug:s for all! :goodvibes (this means you disneypharm, and everybody else too, of course)

No hatin' here, onelilspark; just some genuine befuddlement. :)

Here is my first Disney email from my brand spankin' new Disney.com account to my brand spankin' new Yahoo account:

Welcome to Disneyworld.com!

Mwah-Ha-Haa! Thanks for the tip and pixiedust, DisneynDecember! :thumbsup2

oh golly, Padawans... MORE Arizona bad karma???? :scared1: hmmmmmmm... If this doesn't work, I guess I could see what DH thinks about New Mexico...

I also set up a Yahoo account for both myself and DH then I went to disney website and played around with it. :surfweb:

Don't feel bad! Any PIN I have received has been in my sister's name. Which is completely ironic since we invite her to come on vacation with us and pay for the trip, use our address as hers (she lives across the road) and my personal email address and cell phone number. It's seriously annoying.;)

We've been going since 2002 (8 trips so far), and we've never received a pin, either. My husband just received one, at his work email address (he used this address to surprise me with a birthday trip in 2006) with my Mom's name on it, so of course we can't use it. This is the third time in as many years that he's gotten a pin at work with my Mom's name on it...it's annoying, especially since this November, for the first time ever since 2002, our week has been blacked out!

(Still going, though)

WOW! I've been going to WDW for years; spend tons of money there, always request planning CDs, sign up for emails/newsletters, have never in my life been impolite to a CM, don't smell bad, and am seriously thinking I must be in a yucky undesirable demographic that is unique to me alone. :confused3:

In more than 20 years, I have never received ONE! Anybody else in the same boat?

I am almost expecting to see a note slipped into my next ressie packet that Disney would just as soon that I didn't bother them with my nasty dirty money or unappealing self in the future...:rotfl2:
Maybe you have and didn't notice.
We got one and it was in a typical promotion e-mail we might have easily mistaken for junk mail.
It's not like the e-mail was labeled: SPECIAL PIN CODE.
It was just a typical e-mail, don't even remember what it was titled just promoting the latest promotion.
Of course we weren't in position to use it at the time.
I think that's part of why so many people think they are rare.
They get them and don't realize it, or it's for a time when that can't go and dismiss it or like we almost did, or just over look it in junk mail.

YEA !!!! Remember as the last poster stated, don't think it is junk mail. It will be from "Disney Destinations" in the "From" category in your Yahoo email acct. The PIN # is way at the bottom of the email under the "Book Now" area, at least most of the time.

Just ALWAYS be sure to read the ENTIRE email when you get one from DISNEY DESTINATIONS.

Let us all know if you get something !! I have Grande Communications for my standard email acct & have never had any problems with it, I get all sorts of emails from other service providers, but the Disney Destinations would not come thru, we even added them as a contact in my email & still, it would not work. So, I setup the Yahoo email account, it was free, & BAM-- I get PIN emails & all my other Disneyworld emails that I was never receiving in the past, meaning Dining reservation, etc.....

:santa::santa::santa:

I was in the same boat as the most of you. I've been a long time subscriber with all things associated with Disney World and never received a pin....until today. I signed up with a brand new email (with yahoo) and signed up with Disney Destinations maybe 2 weeks ago and it came today!! Its an amazing feeling but a huge disspointment in that it is only good until the end of 2010 and I can't even think about going until May 2011. Does anyone know if there is a chance that another Pin code could come my way?

In the same boat....the only time I have seen a PIN code are ones that come in the mail with some other families name on it :( Have seen those 2-3 times but nothing for us. I am starting to get a complex....have done all the "tricks" that have been suggested - ordered maps, vacation DVD's, went in to view quotes, saved quotes, went back in and changed some things, etc, completed the surveys, called to see if there was one attached to my name ...nothin'! :headache:

We have been going for +10 years and I have actively "tried" to do the things recommended for PIN codes for about 3 years now.

Have you tried calling to see if you can use it? I was able to use a PIN that came in my brother's name.

Two emails in my brand new Yahoo account so far.:thumbsup2

One from a "Disney Partner" wanting me to participate in product surveys and win points for valuable prizes... I think to myself, "O-KAAAAAAAY....."

The other one was from Disney Insider titled: "Are you ready to explore Egypt?!?" Well, not so much...:confused3 ... I was kinda hoping for Florida. Even so I read that newsletter top to bottom, right to left, and inside and out. :magnify: And the upshot is: nothing, zero, zip, nada.

Anywho, I'm just happy Disney (maybe not so much cheesy Disney Partners :rotfl:) knows how to find me. I guess we'll see what happens now.

I know how you feel, I can open hundreds of accounts and they never send me anything something to buy. :lmao:

If it makes you feel any better, we hadn't received a pin in years! We used to get them quite a bit, and then they stopped, even though we were going to Disney twice a year, and I did a lot of planning on the website. What was frustrating was that while we didn't get them, my parents who travel with us on occasion, would get them all the time! Since they haven't gone with us in a while, however, we couldn't use their pins for our trips. Then, finally, we got the recent Free Dining pin, which we were able to use for our Thanksgiving week trip that we have planned. I was beyond thrilled! Not just a pin, but free dining!!! So, keep holding out hope, because it may happen for you someday as well. :)

I've never had a PIN - ever. I've done every tip, trick, thingamajig out there to try and get a PIN, but nothing. I think they know that so long as they provide a half decent discount, I'll be there. My next two stays are both bouncebacks - one at 45% off and one at 40% off, so I figure I'm getting close to a PIN discount, without the PIN. But it would still be nice to be a member of the PIN club!

Three! Count'em THREE!!! emails within the span of an hour this morning, for a chance to win a "dog-friendly" vacation -- if I submit my funniest dog picture ever to yet another Disney partner... Now please understand: my dog is a dignified elderly gentleman of 13 and he doesn't do "funny". Sometimes, he'll even go a day or two without doing "awake". :confused3

Disney, I swear you're just playing with my heart....

You're still apparently a couple notches up from me on the Disney Desirability Index. Not a single flippin' bounceback door-hanger here EVER.  :lmao: For what's worth, there's plenty of room in the "Taking my funny dog to Egypt" club...:upsidedow
