Can my patient non-picky ten year old DD do Tchoup Tchoup?

My daughter and I are going to Universal in June. I don't mind gearing most of the trip towards a ten year old (that means I get to act like one too) but I would love a "nice" meal at least once. She would stay at the kid's club if I made her but wouldn't really like it.
She is an adventerous eater and will try just about everything. I have never had a problem with her not behaving. Am I crazy to think about taking her to Tchoup Tchoup?

We are so used to WDW where even the nice places are child friendly (Artist Point, Jiko etc). Would she be out of place?

I'm interested in this too since that's the onsite restaurant I would like to try. We're from the west coast, so my 10 year old is used to and loves most Asian cuisines (except for Thai for some reason), but he's not into "fancy." I'll make him go even if it's not perfect for him, but it would be nice to know what to expect.

Tchoup Chop sees lots of families and the staff are adept at dealing with children. Don't hesitate in taking the kids there, we didn't and had a great meal. I much prefer the food and atmosphere of Tchoup Chop over Emeril's.

Oh gosh no. Just take her. All the park and hotel restaurants are very family friendly.

I took my whole family there and loved it. My son was 5 and a very picky eater. My daughters were 8 and 11. They tried some rice rolls with caviar on it and they loved it. Of course, we didn't tell them what caviar meant until after the ate it. We did the chef's menu. They all had a blast. I had watched the restaurant being built on the food network I think. It was fun seeing it in person and telling the family all the kinks they had to work through.

There should be a menu online. I wish we were going again, but my dh wants to try something different although last week he started wondering.

I don't know if they still have them but when we ate there they brought out a box of rice chips which my daughter referred to as tasty styrofoam.She is now 16 and still talks about those rice chips.

You do realize it is also an Emeril's restaurant? One of his newer ones.

I just found Emeril's to be a little stuffy the couple of times I ate at the one in New Orleans and was afraid the actual "Emeril's" at Citywalk might be the same way. I love the food just not crazy about the atmosphere and I am hoping that Tchoup Chop will be a little less gentrified.

The Emeril's in Citywalk is far from stuffy as it gets primarily a vacation crowd. We found it loud and crammed vs. the relaxed quiet atmosphere of Tchoup Chop.

I like the word relaxed in that last post. We are always exhausted when we get home from vacation and I am really hoping for a relaxing trip.

Lovely restaurant and food, and it would be a good experience for a 10 year old,it is a nice restaurant, but also relaxed.
