Can my friend book FP+ for us 60 days out?

Friends are staying on site and we will be joining them for one park day. We are staying off site and do not have our tickets yet.
If we are on their friends list of MDX , when they book their fastpass plus 60 days out are they able to include us for the one day when they book their FP+?

IIRC you still need to have a valid ticket ID for them to add you to their FP+ plans.

Not unless you get tickets. You must have valid park admission linked before you can have any FP+ booked.

You would to have park admission linked to MDX and be listed on their room reservation in order for them to make you FP+ selections at 60 days.

They would have to be listed on the room reservation and have tickets to make FP+ selections beginning at 60 days.

So if I have park tickets linked to my Disney experience can they "add" us to their existing fp+ ressies once they've already booked?
Or is my only choice really to book ours at 30 days and hope we get the same time/availability as them?

Unfortunately, that appears to be your only choice. You cannot be added to existing FPs (unless, of course, those exact rides/times are available at 30 days out).
