Can my adult daughter check in without me?

My adult daughter and I are flying in from separate cities, meeting at MCO and Ubering together to the resort. She is named on my reservation. If I am significantly delayed in arriving, can she go on ahead and check in and get into the room without me?

Any adult (ages 18+) that's listed on the room reservation can check in upon arrival at the resort. If you've done online check in and the room is ready, she really doesn't need to physically check in at the front desk if she has a MagicBand and the room reservation linked to the same MDE profile.

I forgot to mention that I have her magic band! Ugh. So she wouldn't have it- if she checks in, can they give her a key card to get in the room, since I'll have her band with me?

Yes if she stops at the Front desk they will provide her with a key card. We do it every trip. Sometimes the MB or MDE app may fail to unlock the door after walking all the way to the resort room especailly at the YC/BC for some reason.

She can get a key card from the front desk. My sister-in-law didn't have a MagicBand and her smart phone didn't have the technology to use the door opening feature. She got a key card from the front desk. :)

I actually now request a key card no matter what when I check in at the front desk, that way if my Magicband won't open the door (which frequently happens at first), I don't have to trek all the way back to the front desk immediately, I can still get into my room.

I too like to have a backup. In my travel for my job, I always use the mobile key but have a card key made at the front desk for a backup. However, at Disney I consider the magic band backup for my phone key in the app. One of the two has always worked.
