Hello all...so here's the deal...

My 75 yr old father (God bless him) surprised me and my daughter with the buy 3 get 5 days tickets for my birthday. He bought them off the Disneyland website. Unfortunately instead of buying one adult and one child ticket he just put in two adult tickets. I didn't have the heart to say anything to him...what's done is done...but will Disney balk if I try to use the adult ticket for my 7 yr old? I mean all things considered Disney comes out ahead...just don't know what kind of problems I might be in for.

Any advice? Thanks.

I can't see why there would be any problems using an adult ticket for a child. The other way around, sure there would be a problem. But like you said, Disney is making out on the deal so why would there be a problem. Just my opinion since I have no personal experience with the issue.

^This.^ If anything I think children 9 or 10 years old are considered adults. The gate person probably won't think twice. If they do it will probably be to suggest you save some money.

It shouldn't be a problem. The adult ticket doesn't provide any additional benefits, services, or access. It just costs an extra $30 for that particular deal. You could call them at 714-781-7290 to verify.

Not a problem at all. If a CM thinks your daughter is young enough for a kid's ticket they may look at it twice to make sure it's not already been used by someone else and you are having your daughter use it now. Since you are NOT doing this - it will not be an issue.

If you get a very kind person at the ticket booth, they MAY even switch it for you. Either way, you should be fine. As pointed out by others, you are not cheating Disney out of anything or breaking any rules.

well that was part of my concern...that they will think someone else used it first...don't know how I would prove that wasn't the case. We are splitting up our DL stay, going a few days, then going to Legoland & Sea World, then back to DL. I'm wondering if they will question the gap between the days as well.

Their terminals tell them whether a ticket has been used. They don't have to guess and you don't have to prove anything. There is no problem with a gap between visits as long as you use all of the days before the ticket expires.

If you're really concerned about this, you should call Disney and talk to them. A few minutes on the phone will address all of your concerns. People here can only tell you what should happen and what might happen. If it's going to bug you from now until the trip, just call and get confirmation. 714-781-7290

Oh, no need for worry on that. They can tell it has not been used the second they scan it.
