Can MB be linked to a credit card for offsite guests?

Will we be able to also link a credit card for purchases? I am reading conflicting info...

No. That is an onsite only perk.

no you can't.
only onsite guests are able to use their magic bands to charge things and that is because they are charging them to their ROOM not to an actual credit card.
if the room charges are not paid off via a different method disney then charges your credit card on file for that amount.
