Can I wear black flats for disney traditions?

They are technically Toms, but all black (as the pamphlet said I can wear either black or white athletic shoes), these aren't exactly athletic shoes but I was wondering if I'll still be allowed to wear these? I also have black/white pattern flats that I wore to my interview, the pamphlet just isn't specific enough and so I needed some answers, thanks in advance (I'm new to the forum and got hired recently for DLR).
