I have a Britax car seat (pictures below) and I was wondering if this can be used in the US, as we are holidaying in both Los Angeles and Florida.

Many thanks for any help/suggestions.

On an airplane it must be U.S. FAA approved. In a car, yes it may be used unconditionally.

Actually, on an airplane a foreign-government approved car seat is also acceptable. International regulation and also US regulation.

Some references:

US Airways explanation of the rules: http://www.usairways.com/en-CA/travel_information/children/infants_children.html

"Manufactured outside of the U.S. must bear a label of approval of a foreign government or a label showing the seat was manufactured under the standards of the United Nations."

A good blog with lots of reference info: http://thecarseatlady.com/before-you-fly-know-your-rights/

wed to be used on aircraft to include CRSs meeting the standards of the United Nations or approved by a foreign government (57 Federal
