We are thinking about heading down a couple of days earlier than originally planned :thumbsup2 . I dont want to rebook our rental since as of now it would more than double my rate .

I'm wondering if I can "hop" :moped: a ride back to MCO with DME to pick up the rental if I am not actually flying out that day?

Did any of that make sense??? :confused3

If I cant use ME, does anyone have any other suggestions for an inexpensive way to get back to MCO. I dont want to spend a fortune trying to save money...

Thanks in advance for any help...

I don't have an answer to that question, but am wondering if you have National or Alamo, could you just change your pick up location to the Car Care Center? Then they'd send a car/van to pick you up from your resort to the CCC to get your car. I've done that before.

I think this is a question you are going to have to ask the DME folks. Call and ask, and let us know what you find out.

Good luck!

When you book ME, they ask for your flight info, so I would think the answer will be no.

I would do as Sandi suggested and just change your PU location to on-property if it's w/ National or Alamo - if it's another agency there are some desks at various DTD hotels.

HTH!!! :teeth:

We had a guest this fall who returned a rental car to MCO then rode DME back to SSR. We had reserved it ahead, and simply didn't give them any airline info (informing them of the true purpose of the trip). He did not have any problems. You would have to reserve it though.

I do think you'd be better off doing Alamo/ National on-site or one of the others at a Downtown Disney hotel, in the interest of minimizing hassle and maximizing vacation.

Good luck!

I tried changing my p/u location to both the Swan and the CCC and it changed my Midsize SUV quote from $137 to over $960 for the rental period. (That was using the Modify option).

When I tried putting a new ressie in picking up at the CCC and dropping off at MCO and it gave me a rate of over $330. I guess you can see why I'm trying to figure this out...

I haven't tried calling Alamo yet. I'll try that tomorrow and let you know.

We rented a car from Hertz on our last trip, and they sent a bus to pick us up and take us to the car rental center (it was only a rental for a day though). Perhaps Alamo offers that same service or something similar?
