Can I use ME and go direct to the parks?

I would like to use ME to go direct from the airport to either Magic Kingdom or the Studios. I already have park tickets. Can I do that?

Alternately, can I go to a hotel close to the parks such as the Contemporary or Boardwalk instead of the hotel I'm staying at?

No me will only drop you at your registered hotel. Besides you probably need to go and check in and get you keys to the kingdom so you can actually get in the parks

No, the bus you will be assigned to is the one for your resort and the driver will need to scan your voucher so you can't choose a different bus.

I guess if you happen to be on a bus that is going to a MK or Epcot resort there is nothing to stop you from getting off at a resort within walking distance to those parks but this will affect your check in and luggage delivery.

Since you really can't bring luggage to the parks I am assuming you are using the luggage delivery feature of DME. If so you need to check in for your bags to be delivered to your room.

IMHO it makes sense to head to your resort, check in and then head back out to a park.

Just because you have park tickets doesn't mean that you should head directly to a park w/o checking in.

I have run into a few people on the boards that think since you have done online check-in, you have essentially checked in and there is no need to go to your resort.

All you have done is put a credit card on file and told them what time you arriving, so they can place you in a room that is already available. You still have to physically go to the resort and tell them you are checking in.
