Can I use Disney Dollars to buy APs?

We just counted our disney change jar for our December trip just for kicks and we have ..........$240.00 already!!! I was wondering if I could convert this to Disney Dollars to buy my APs when we get there. Also, can you use disney dollars for everything at WDW? I'm talking character meals, mickey bars, turkey legs!!! Airfare for 3 on USAir was 510.00 paid for already, bought points at BW for 5 nights paid for... just need spending dough and passes!!!! I hope I'm on track any advice from the gurus??? thanks

Yes, you can use Disney dollars to purchase APs (or any other park admission media).

Yes, at WDW, Disney Dollars are just like cash. (You won't be able to use them at non-Disney establishments, though). If necessary, you can turn them back into cash at most every WDW location that accepts them.

You can buy your AP's at the Disney Store. Then you won't have to take so many extra Disney Dollars just for the passes (the highest denomination is $10). You activate them at WDW so you don't lose any days by purchasing them in advance.

I've been following Weight Watchers since February and have decided to reward myself $10 Disney Dollars for every pound lost. I now have $500 Disney Dollars that I plan to use to purchase annual pass vouchers at the Disney Store.

lovesdumbo that is a great idea! I am going back to Weight Watchers tomorrow and was thinking I need some serious incentive! Since the only thing I love more than eating is Disney trips this might do the trick!

I figured I'm saving at least $15/week by not going to Dunkin Donuts and lots more by bringing my lunch more often and rarely doing take out.

I also forgot to add that I've been purchasing my $Disney Dollars with my Disney Visa so the 1% rewards on the $500 Disney Dollars purchased is another $5.
