Can I upgrade tix bought at Safeway to an annual pass?

Hi.

I bought 3 day park hoppers at Safeway for our trip next month. Even though I didn't buy them a the park, can I upgrade them to annual passes when we are there next month? I will be going again in the spring.

I've never upgraded from a park hopper before but from what i've read, you can put whatever amount you paid for tickets toward an AP, no matter where you bought it at. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this is how it works.

If you don't mind me asking, were the park hoppers the same price as if you bought them from Disney on line? Did you pay $179 for the 3 day park hopper? If so, maybe i will get mine there so I know they are here on time sicnce we may be going in less than a week.

Also, last year we bought out tickets through Costco and upgraded to AP's while in the park. It's worth your money to upgrade if you know you will be returning again soon.

Yes, any ticket you bought can be used to upgrade, as long as it is done before you leave on the last day. You can't come back later and upgrade.

Just get the e-tickets. You print out the voucher and take that to the gates. Simple!

do you use the printed out voucher the whole time or do they swap it for a real ticket once you're there?

we usually have months if not a full year to plan for our trip. this time DH just said, "let's go!" so it's all last minute. i am sooo not a last minute person rather a huge planner and i love to research and investigate everything!

They print you out a real ticket right there. It's the paper ticket, but you know, I'm not 100% sure the plastic cards you get at Safeway/Vons are "real" tickets, someone will have to chime in with their experience on that. For some reason I have it in my head that they are exchanged too but I could *absolutely* be wrong on that!
