I bought a 5 day park hopper pass at our DISNEY STORE and now I've decided to go back again this year to WDW!!! Can I trade these passes in at the ticket and transportation center outside of MK??? I hope so! I leave in 5 days!!!!

Yes! You can apply the value of the what you paid for your park hopper to an Annual Pass. I'm not sure if you can do it at the T&TC or if you need to go up to the park to do it.

I will be doing the same thing :).

My DH and I have the LOS passes and I was thinking of trying to upgrade to AP. Has anyone ever tried this before? How would I do it?

we have partially used 5-day PH passes from early 2000...
unfortunately, we didn't trade them in when we bought our APs Nov 2000.

how does trading in work if you have already used 2 or 3 days of a PH?

do they calculate the cost of the remaining days by how much you paid for it? or how much the value of 1-day is today?

it seems not worth it to trade in if they calculate using how much you paid for it back in the day...

I posted this in responce to a question about the 7 day pass upgrade policy. But as all upgrading is explained it should help.

The 7 day rule is you purchase a Hopper pass, use it for a few days , then decide to upgrade (in 7 days or less from purchase) to an AP, they will give you full credit (even for the days used) for the previously purchased Hopper pass towards the AP purchase and the AP will be dated the date of first use of the Hopper Pass. This makes it look like you just originally bought an AP on the day you bought the Hopper Pass. Upgrading an unused Hopper pass (fully unused) (bought more than 7 days previous) can be done anytime, they will credit the original purchase price towards the AP. The upgrade of a used Hopper pass (also bought more than 7 days previous) can also be done anytime they will prorate the remaining days at the original price towards the AP. In both of the last 2 upgrades the AP date will be the day of upgrade. They will upgrade a pass with 1 or 2 days remaining to a pass with a greater number of days using the same logic. I hope this makes sence...

yup, that makes sense.

so basically it's not "worth it" to upgrade them since we bought them at a lower price a while ago ;)

i think i might think about using up the rest of the days on the first trip after my APs expire, and then waiting until the trip after that to buy new APs (of course by then i'll be a DC member, hehe)

if only they calculated the prorated amount based on what the value of one day on park hoppers' current pricing is...
