Can I tell which US points are being used for a reservation?

I have two reservations booked right now, is there any way for me to tell which ones used my banked points? I'm not feeling confident that our September trip will happen, so I want to make sure that all my banked points are being used for my January 20200 reservation, but I can't tell which US points each reservation is using.

Which one did you book first? That will be the one that used the banked points.

But if you can get the website to work, the easiest way to confirm which points were used is to make a mock modification of the reservation. Before you reach the final step, there will be a link for how points are being taken. Click on it and an animated screen will pop up that shows how many points from banked, borrowed, holding, transferred, etc would be used for the reservation. At that point, you will be able to see the number of banked points that were used for the original reservation (assuming that you have no leftover banked points). You can exit out of the modification process with your original reservation intact.

I booked the September one first. So I guess I need to cancel both and rebook them in the opposite order.

No. Cancel September. Modify January without changing the dates. The banked points will get taken. Then book September again.

However, you run the risk of losing the September reservation unless there is currently the same villa and dates available.

Thank you! I think I’m going to loose the September reservation, but we can just stay elsewhere then. I’m more concerned with not potentially loosing points.

Why couldn't the OP just wait until he/she cancels the September reservation and then modify the January one to pick up any returned banked or borrowed points?

Assuming the cancellation is done at least 31 days prior to check-In, I'd wait until I was sure I wouldn't be going in September before I cancelled it.

I didn't realize I'd be able to modify the reservation without actually changing anything in it, or else I probably would've just done that. Thankfully I was able to rebook the room I cancelled for our September trip, so everything worked out!

I'll definitely be keeping that in mind for next time.
