Hi everyone got a quick question, can I take my own food into Typhoon Lagoon. We were thinking of taking a cool box with our own sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Does Disney have a problem with this as we have seen conflicting account. Thanks!

Yes, you may.

In fact, you can bring food into any of the theme parks or water parks. You may not bring alcohol, and you may not bring anything in glass containers. At the theme parks, you may not bring a hard-sided cooler, but you may bring one to the water parks. (Also, at AK no plastic straws are allowed since they can choke the animals.)

At the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK) coolers are restricted to "small, soft-sided, which can fit in a locker". And they cannot be rolling bags.

The only restrictions that apply to all parks (theme and water) are nothing in glass containers (other than medicines and baby food) and no alcoholic beverages.

Some things people don't think about (which tend to be in glass) are pickles, salsa, Mayonnaise, Starbucks drinks, Snapple drinks, Tabasco.

At the water parks any type or size cooler is acceptable. I have seen people come through the gate (Typhoon Lagoon) hauling wheeled coolers about 4' x 3' x 2½'. Note that the cooler can be on two wheels or carried, but the way the rules are written you can not have it in a wagon and it cannot have four wheels.

If you show up at the gate with prohibited items we will give you three choices:
(1) Take prohibited items back to your car or resort.
(2) Put prohibited items in the nearby trash can.
(3) (Only for other than alcoholic beverages) If you have plastic bags or cups you can dump the items out of the glass containers and throw away the container.

Thanks for the advice, this is what I thought, I was just asking as I have seen on other threads that people at water parks have has sandwiched and other food taken off them.

Many trips to disney probably in the 40 plus range. Kids did typhoon but I have never been. Going to Disney with kids and grandkids in June so I thought I would get the annual water pass since we are good to go.

so since I am in FL I am going to take a scouting trip to check out loctions and enjoy the park. I will be solo so I am wondering whether I could use my wheeled beach cart to lug the cooler and my stuff. It is a push thing that WE normally use to cart the chairs ,tents, towels, and cooler out over the dunes.

about the size of a stroller but a bit taller.

were those threads here because i have never seen one or if its posted that way 5 more people will jump on and correct it.

now sometimes a guard will joke around and pretend to take something or ask where his sandwich is but not really take it.

as for other food taken, did it fall into this category from CF's PP?
