Can I take Disney resort busses from friend's hotel to MK?

We had the lucky break that one of our good friends is going to WDW for a work meeting during the time we're going to be at WDW (staying offsite). She's staying on-site (hello, expense account!), and will be bringing her DD, who will tour with us while our friend works. I reserved a character breakfast at our friend's resort so that we can pick up her DD, and the five of us (me, spouse, 5yo twins, and friend's 10yo DD) can go off to MK and friend can go to work (don't feel too sorry for her, she's got two days of touring with free lodging; just has to work this one day).

My question is this: will the four of us, staying off site, be allowed to ride the disney busses that go from our friend's hotel to MK and back? Are there wristbands or anything that would prevent us from just leaving our car at our friends' hotel? The hotel is not on the monorail, BTW; it's one of the Epcot resorts.

Thanks.

Cate

Theme park guests are allowed to use all Disney transportation. No one will even ask, though. You just get on the bus and go! You may need to valet park the car, though. Not sure how that works since you can't park at resorts and go to the parks.

Thanks! I guess there's always something. We have ADR's for breakfast at their resort, so we've got a legit reason to leave the car there. If anyone else has feedback on this, I'd be grateful.

I suppose worst case scenario, we drive to the MK. Seems silly, though. Thanks again...

11 days and counting...

Which Epcot hotel is it? Swan and Dolphin have a daily parking fee. If she's staying at BW or BC, she can ask at the front desk for a parking pass and you can use it. When you arrive just tell the gate you have a dining reservation, then go to your friend's room, put on the pass, and you should be set for the day. Since you are babysitting her dd all day long you have a legitimate reason to park there.

Some of the resorts issue three hour parking passes to restaurant guests to stop people from doing what you plan to do. At the smaller resorts Disney has been known to tow cars. Disney is happy to have to you visit the resort but parking for the day is really reserved for people staying at the resort. That said if it isn't a busy time of year they probably don't care. Some people say that if you valet park your car it avoids all of this because they don't track how long a car stays in valet.

Just have your friend get you a parking pass when she checks in. Since you'll be with her daughter, who is staying in the room, it seems justified.
